converting videofiles with timestamps

Post by vx400 »

Please detail your question or problem in as much detail as possible:
I have severe folder with different subfolder, including a lot of .MOV files (filming with EOS 6D), which I want to compress as .H264 and .mkv
I cannot put each 600 files into the queue and run handbrake. Is there a chance for a batch script, which "scan" the subfolders for .mov videofiles and converting them into a new video? The next thing... I want to keep the timestamp of the original file to the nex file :(

Tell us about your environment. What version of HandBrake? What operating system are you running. etc.
1.0.0 and Win10x64

No, but it's relatively easy to write a script in your language of choice to do this.

There are at least 4 or 5 in this (the CLI) forum. They're not flagged, but I've seen versions written for Linux, OS X, and Windows, using the tools available in each.
