To backup my movies I usually rip DVDs with DVDDecryptor as iso and blurays with makemkv as mkv to my hdd and convert them afterwards with handbrake.
Is it possible to utilize makemkv as "input" for handbrake (afaik makemkv has a streaming option).
Or is it possible to use makemkv libraries in handbrake for decryption?
I'm looking for a solution that works on Windows, Linux and Mac.
Thanks
Al

Yes, you can use a MakeMKV rip as HB input; this is the best practice.
No, you cannot use MakeMKV libs with HB.

Thanks - this seems to work on windows too.
I've copied libmmbd64.dll from makemkv into the same folder as HandbrakeCLI.exe (64bit version)
Now I can read blurays directly.

Under Windows, normal procedure would be to copy it twice, one renamed to libaacs.dll and another as libbdplus.dll…

With renaming of course.
