CLI preset info on Wiki vs Advanced tab.

Post by bhirt »

I notice there seems to be a contradiction between the Wiki Preset info and what appears in the Advanced tab of the GUI.

All of the sub pixel motion estimation values are listed as subme in the wiki and subq in the GUI. The mencoder page http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/me ... -x264.html seems to suggest that the wiki is incorrect, but I'm not really sure.

They are one-in-the-same. x264 allows you to use either name when referring to sub-pixel motion estimation. So, both are correct.

I'm not sure what was so confusing about this...I have a whole section of the x264 options page in the Wiki devoted to synonymous setting names.
