Be shure you use jamintel on intel Macs, plus, edit the jamfile in the contrib dir to comment the FFMPEG_PATCH "patch -p1 < ../patch-ffmpeg-macintel.patch" it simply don't apply cleanly and due to that, ffmpeg build fail... You're saying no patches are required for ffmpeg to compile clean...

Correct - but given 99% of our users will be putting content on an iPod through iTunes, I'm _very_ reticent about allowing this in IHB. HB, sure - the sky's the limit, but not IHB.

Unfortunately, the above does not apply with iTunes 7, which has a hard restriction of 640 pixels wide regardless of codec.

It was for 2 seconds - and you caught it. =)

I apologize - I'm doing all that I can to minimize impact to folks while still being able to get everything done and sleep. :) I'll do better. ;)

Trac relocated to http://handbrake.dynalias.com/trac. :) Should be seamless via redirection.

Forums moved

I've moved the forums to their new permanent domain (you should have automatically been redirected here). Apologies for any disruption. No, we weren't Dugg again, but we're better protected now if we ever are. :)

Just 1 question. I uploaded a binary for the GUI into the windows folder but nothing appears there from the web side? Wrong Directory? No, I changed the way the files are processed (they used to be live updating, which drove I/O wait much too high - I now rsync once per minute) but forgot to enable...

Test binaries again available

Your Trac login and password will suffice. =)

Since we're going to have a need in the future for legitimate testers, and those folks should certainly play a role on Trac, I figure "one password file to rule them all" seemed like a good deal.

Get prepared, folks: 4g3nt_Smith by 4g3nt_Smith 12 hours ago This is ridiculous, these people have one of the largest group of "testers" for this version, and instead of letting us use it like we CHOSE to, they pull it and say we're not ready. My question is "If thats the case, then w...

The version number issue is actually going to cause us grief. While traversing through the code trying to fix the 100% hang issue, I found several instances of version numbers. In the trunk, in JamRules: HB_VERSION = 0.7.1a2 (used in libhb when we call hb_get_version and HB_BUILD = 20060923 (used i...

Re: Unified GUI Interface

Now that HB is build on Windows, maybe we should consider unifying the HB and IHB interface and make is cross-platform. Okay, I am in no way intending to step on any toes here, but, it seems to me, that the obvious thing to do is incorporate a "Basic" and "Advanced" setting into...

Just plain, random, hopefully-not-discouraging thoughts: - Shared libraries = DLLs on Windows. Oy. :) - You now run the very real risk of a disconnect between GUI and library - what happens when they get out of sync for some reason? How do we easily diagnose that? - It's a lot to bite off. Sure, I'd...

rhester, I know you are up to your eyeballs right now. But, you have locked down the svn, right? Re: "No accelerated IMDCT transform found" - as far as I know (someone correct me if I'm wrong), that will show up on any chip without Altivec. I've always seen it on both Windows and Linux builds (from 0.7.0 forward, I wasn't around earlier).

It's OK, we're still standing. Just waiting for the idiot parade to end. I'm definitely going to be a few days delayed on the work I was trying to do, but it is what it is. The world can wait a little longer. Or a LOT longer, if Digg is in any way representative of the general HandBrake user base (a...
