Re: Auto add subtitles feature not included in latest release?

Click on Switch to Defaults in the Subtitles format
Select language and type, save to preset.

It should select subtitiles next time you load a file with that preset

Re: Handbrake Deinterlace - What Really Happens

HandyMan, If you're still looking, here something of interest on Youtube. It's high motion 1080i HDV that I bobbed and resized to 480p 60, then resampled to 30p Slomo. Compared to the HDV source, it's pitiful on Youtube. I have seen some ugly thing when bob-ing film broadcast @ 1080i. I am not pret...

Re: Handbrake Deinterlace - What Really Happens

I am not using decomb for video 1080i@30FPS, de-interlace slower normaly gave me good result. Sometimes decomb doesn't deinterlace some frame ...

BTW I just did a decomb Same as source give me 30FPS, decomb with 59.94 produce 60FPS and is similar to the deinterlace slower.

Re: Handbrake Deinterlace - What Really Happens

I have been following the 2 threads and did some tests with a HDTV 1080i@30FPS video source. Source file 1080i Bazzo.TV - S09E08 20141030 deintersample.ts I first encode it with de-interlace slower to obtain 1080p@30FPS De-interlace Slower 1080p@30FPS Bazzo.TV - S09E08 20141030 1080 deinterslower rf...

[Fixed] SVN6468 encode shorten by 10sec compared to SVN6422

I found something strange with SVN6468, at the end of the encode instead of coming back, there is a 5-20 sec delay after the encode finishes. Then I noticed the audio is short by 10 seconds compared to SVN6422, mediainfo on the mkv doesn't show any time stamp. Impossible to seek because there is no ...

I found 2 problems when analyzing that sample, so thanks! Fixed https://trac.handbrake.fr/changeset/6453 https://trac.handbrake.fr/changeset/6454 SVN6468 encodes the complete show without any warnings  (SVN6422 had issues at two locations) and the subtitles move correctly on the screen. Re: SVN6142 Breaks subtitles in ts files

And I have seen subtitle lasting minutes on some encode ... that would make memory grow too much.

Could an option be to 'pre-process' the entire ts file to extract the rollup sub before starting the encode?

Re: SVN6142 Breaks subtitles in ts files

Could you buffer them and adjust the sub display start and end time when you receive a line position changes command or a clear display command? That would unfortunately require buffering associated video frames too, which is a lot more memory-intensive than buffering subtitle packets… What about p...

With SVN6408 the last line of subtitle sometimes get truncated.
You can reproduce it with previous sample Et Dieu créa Laflaque - S10E30 20140907_19302000 sample.ts https://www.sendspace.com/file/maxdkr at 1m02s.
