Re: [Patch] [Core] SSA burn-in support
http://paste.handbrake.fr/pastebin.php?show=1688 is patched agains head and also allows the macgui to do ssa burn in. NOTE: this patch also allows any text file to be burned-in in the ui, which of course does't work with srt's. Will update that but wanted to post this in case anyone wants to test wi...

I'll say it. rf 16 on a blu ray source is both stupid and idiotic for even the new appletv. Done. 'nuff said.

As was said above. Then wait. No one here has a crystal ball. Don't expect a definitive response until someone has one to test.rubster wrote:...just don't want to have to go back and do this process more than once.

You know, I feel a bit used here. I replied to one of your triplicate posts with the correct answer only to find you have already been given it here. Adding your name to my "do not respond" list. If you can't accept a truthful answer, then go elsewhere. That is probably my fault, I should...

Re: What format to use?
My question is similar and I hope someone has the answer: I will want to view movies on large TV and on Mac and mobile (iPhone). Is there one setting/format, which covers both situations? I am not concerned about file size. Probably apple > universal. You have to play to your lowest common denomina...

Re: Slight grain on encoded videos
What mduell said however ... afaik the two big things the new atv will support which the old one doesn't is weightp and b-pyramid. Beyond that removing the vbv restrictions for the old atv would make sense for the new atv though I cannot see where any of those changes would reduce the "grainine...

Well, speed and quality are relative. Here is what I use:

Re: AppleTV Custom Presets - 0.9.4
well, hb 0.9.4 is old as dirt, and does not have weightp (among other things) that said the x264 in hb 0.9.4 should just ignore the weightp in that option string.
Better yet though grab a HB nightly if you want the latest and greatest.

3492 is an x264 bump https://trac.handbrake.fr/changeset/3492 dunno that it would solve the issue.cms42 wrote:Seems like svn3492 has solved this issue.

Re: [Patch] [Core] SSA burn-in support
As Rodeo said, command line works fine. It building from within the Xcode gui itself via /macosx/HandBrake.xcodeproj which is used a lot by macgui devs to make changes and doing a "Build and Run" via the Xcode.app gui.

Re: [Patch] [Core] SSA burn-in support
Okay, Rodeo and I both built head successfully this morning. Here is a full log with your patch 1584 failing to build within xcode.app (remember, a vanilla install) also, bear in mind that it built fine with terminal first. http://handbrake.fr/pastebin/pastebin.php?show=1594 It is worth noting that ...

However now it fails to build from within Xcode.app. Did you try to see if that worked on your setup ?
