Re: No Sound....
I have noticed that I will get sound through VLC Player, but when I try to play it through Windows Media Player or my PS3, no sound. That would explain it... AC3 audio in MP4 requires the installation of additional codecs for WMP and won't work on the PS3 at all. I recommend a stereo AAC track as y...

Re: Framerate Conversion
Yup. You're only looking at a semitone difference so most people won't notice it unless they do a side by side comparison.

Re: No Sound....
That's the scan log, generated when you load a new source. We'll need to see the encode log, which will show any issues that occur during the encoding process as well as what settings you're using. An encode log is automatically generated for each job, so you shouldn't need to re-encode anything. ht...

Re: Best way to encode entire DVD to MKV?
- HandBrake is unable to do this.
- While multiple titles and menus are provisionally part of the MKV spec, I've yet to see this implemented anywhere.
- iTunes does not support MKV.

Re: Framerate Conversion
To be honest, the usual method for 23.976 -> 25 fps conversions is to overcrank it - assuming you apply pitch correction the only side effect is reducing the running time of the title by ~4%. This is common practice for PAL DVD releases.

Re: Can't get burned in subtitles for foreign audio on BR
OK, in the logs you've just supplied you've selected a different title (125 vs. 134) which doesn't appear to contain any subtitle streams, which would explain why foreign audio search isn't working.

Re: Can't get burned in subtitles for foreign audio on BR
Your log doesn't appear to have included any subtitles. Perhaps you could try generating a log using foreign audio search on the entire title, not just chapter 26... feel free to cancel the encode after the subtitle scan pass is completed.

I pre-rip to HDD using MakeMKV prior to encoding.

Re: HB scans only the first 2 chapters
You'll need to identify the correct title for the main feature and update to a nightly build to encode this DVD.

Re: Drawback in using "Web Optimized" or "iPod 5G Support" ?
Why? Doing so gains you nothing unless you need that functionality and in the case of the iPod 5G flag may actually cause compatibility issues.

Re: Just simply failing to convert
720x400 H.264 video, AAC audio, MP3 audio and vobsub subtitles in MKV... a very curious combination. Where did you get these files, if I may ask?

Further note, VLC is notorious at misreporting MP3 audio bitrates especially if VBR/ABR is being used.

You're ensuring you've set a unique output file name for each file?

You install a nightly build under OS X the same way as a stable release: Open the DMG and drag the HandBrake icon to your Applications folder, replacing the copy you have installed.

Re: Wrong Chapter Markers on svn6207
I am happy to see it tempered in svn6210. But then, something still doesn't come right. 1. When the cvs is imported, all the stuff after the commas are cut off. Manually putting the stuff back works fine. What does the C in CSV stand for? Make sure you're escaping any embedded commas with a backsla...

Generally speaking, no it isn't... at least not with the GUI. It can be done using the CLI version although it's generally not considered to be a good idea.

Re: .DVDPROJ to YouTube, How to?
If you can open the files in iDVD you should have the option to save them as a disc image, after which you can mount them and they'll appear as a regular DVD to HandBrake.
