This is nothing to do with Handbrake.....

Handbrake doesn't even burn discs. I can only assume your using some feature built into vista.

Generally means its not able to read the DVD data.

Try AnyDVD - Seems to fix most issues with problematic dvds

Why not just use the latest version of Mac the ripper?

CLI = command line version.

You'd run it though the Command Prompt.
Download for it is on the downloads page.

Don't think you can. If its setup as a prerequisite the only way to install it would involve a lot of hacking. Not advisable.

You really ought to upgrade to SP2 anyway. Just turn off the few annoying security features it adds.

Otherwise live without the GUI and use the CLI instead.

Handbrake is NOT a ripper. Period. It may have ripping capability due to its past but its something that is no longer supported. Its simply been left in because it is occasionally useful. There is Basic CSS support and thats it. Its not going to get upgraded as thats not the point in Handbrake. Ther...

PowerC and WinDVD + the PSP are going to limit your options. For Best quality you'll need: H264 with a bitrate of 2500+ Anamorphic enabled. A pile of advanced options passed to the h264 encoder. 192Kbit AAC audio or 368 if using 5.1 option Problem is I'll bet The 2 DVD playing software wont support ...

I've not been able to re-create this on Windows XP so I can only assume its a vista Issue. I don't actually have a Vista PC but i'll add a trim method on the output in the next build and we can see if that resolves it.

A Small sample would be useful. IF its home made dvd's make sure DVD43 etc is closed. Could be interfearing with it.

It does look like its the CLI thats failing but i'd want a test image, say 10~15MB to try it out.

If ya need somewhere to upload it let me know and i'l arrange it.

You can't just rename files like that.

You got to save them as mp4 from the GUI or CLI. Renaming doesnt change the container.

Handbrake is not compatible with OSX 10.3.9.

There is no workaround for it and its been decided not to make 1. Newer features in Handbrake require 10.4 components + future impovements will be the same so theres not alot we can do about it.

Don't close the Queue Window. Bloody thing is forgetting what you added if you close it. However, if you leave it open, then continue to add things to it. IT works just fine

I'll add to the to-fix list.

The server admin killed our download. Nothing we can do right now i'm afraid. MU will have to do for the moment.

The m0k download server was effectivly DDOS'd with all the traffic and tahts a dedicated box so no suprise that the other download host has killed our mirror.
