Re: AVI Support
Yeah, it went away because it was outdated, outmoded, and technically inferior and was a conscious decision by the developers.
So.... I doubt whether it is coming back. Don't hold your breath waiting!

Re: Help with picture cutoff problem
Workout DVD's are notorious for poor authoring so that may be one problem.
Another thing is to turn off all cropping.

@Loogs
You can stir the pot by providing a development patch as I see that being the only way your feature request being implemented.

Or you can do this under Windoze if you really wish to. All recommendations are against doing so.

Re: convert MP4 video to DVD disk
Well, you are going to have to do as Ted suggests, find another application because Handbrake will not, and most probably never will, do what you want.
Usually utilities that come with your PC's optical drive such as Nero, sometimes contain such features. Worth a look anyhow.

Re: Lower Audio Bitrate option please
IMHO, I think you are being a little over the top. The difference in file size with the different audio settings is minimal and really no one is interested in quality that low in this day and age of 1 Terabyte drives being under 100 bux. Perhaps the developers will view this request differently. Goo...

Re: How to deal with multi titles
IMHO, I regard them as a waste of time, effort and space getting them sorted out and, after literally thousands of encodes, only have ever done one, "The Making of Blasé Runner". If you really want them, pre-rip all the titles with MakeMKV, identify what you want and join them in the order...

Re: How to deal with multi titles
This happens quite often on episodic DVD's such as TV series.
The only sure way to find out what is what is play the disk in a software player and note the title number as you navigate through the menu.

Re: Does HandBreak not support VLC any more?
Sure S55 but don't you really think it would save a lot of aggro. We all know how good users are at searching for items and how high their expectations are without reading the disclaimers. Between Ted, SC and myself, I reckon we have answered this query literally hundreds of time. Maybe it should be...

Re: Foreign Language DVD Not having English Subs
Seeing as the title is Japanese, I would immediately suspect that the subs would not be "Forced" but just a Foreign language sub.
Just try it as English, not FORCED...

Re: Combining m2ts files
Nope... MakeMKV should build the main title into one MKV.
If this is a new title, MakeMKV may be getting its knickers in a knot because of structural protection.
WHAT IS THE TITLE?
Make sure you are using latest version of MakeMKV or a commercial ripper such as DVD Fab or ANyDVD.

Re: Combining m2ts files
Multiple ts files usually indicate a seamless branching title.
You should be opening the disk structure, not the individual files, and then this problem will disappear.

As I suggested in my previous post, let's pull it up here and cease and desist the back and forth. I also suggest that your time would be better spent learning and resear...
