Re: Encoding for A4 devices (iPad, iPhone 4, tv 2)
To be clear ... the ATV2 is an ios device, the ATV1 is not (though there is no discernible difference to the use in their interface).
So, for atv 2 go ahead and use weightp. Don't even think about it if using an atv1.

Haven't tried again since I re-downloaded the source video . ... Edit: Problem did not seem to be the original source, that file was fine so I wasted my time re-downloading it 'again '. Oh, and ... The 720P source video was produced & converted by a particular online web company, I downloaded v...

rogue23: Agreed on all accounts. If you want, post your latest and greatest with the latest icons and I will take a look. If all works as advertised I see no reason to not commit it. Thanks.

Re: [PATCH] [MacGUI] Add move options to Queue context windo
Some further consideration ... 1. The toolbar icons are ok especially for now (easy enough to replace them with better artwork if need be but they will work for now provided the project has right to them ie. you didn't steal them from somewhere else). One note though, they should be disabled unless ...

Re: [PATCH] [MacGUI] Add move options to Queue context windo
Just patched and tested, works as advertised ... though probably if an item is already at the top it wouldn't have the option to "Move Up" or "Move to Top" since its already there. Same for the item on the bottom. That said it works fine. I see that if an item is encoding it cann...

Re: eSata AppleTV Mod
They sent me one from vantec. There are some pata to eSata bridges that do not seem to work properly on the atv. Its possible this is one of them. To get past all the cable issues I have been reading about I simply plugged the connector into the AppleTV. However the appletv never sees the drive. I ...

Re: Which video player should I use?
Not sure what that's all about. It doesn't seem to see TX3G subtitles (regardless of whether you open the file with QT or FFmpeg), and while it does appear to notice the presence of VOBSUB in MKV (and lets you select them), it doesn't actually display them. I guess that's unparalleled indeed. Chill...

Re: Which video player should I use?
I use a bunch of them but tbh I like Movist in general. Can use ffmpeg or QT as a decoder and afaik has unparalleled subtitle support (that said, its not why I use it).

All arguements you've posted aside. I just don' t think you get it. You posted a Feature Request for the Quicktime Encoder and it was rejected. Good , Bad or Otherwise thats how it is right now. Not sure what you're trying to prove.

Re: Saving Files
True but ... that would mean that the macgui would have to know why the encode failed. Otherwise the macgui queue is designed to keep going even after a failed encode as there are numerous reasons an individual encode might fail (eg. an over 4 GB mp4 file w/out large file size checked ...etc. etc.) ...

Re: Saving Files
Yep, your bad Basically it would require sufficent space on the destination drive to be checked ahead of time ... however given the most common method of encoding (Constant Quality) the macgui has no way ahead of time to know how much space and encode would take.
