I too believe incorporating a torrent library wouldn't be an easily feasible task. It was just an idea for the future, as is Sparkle I guess. However, if bandwidth issues are indeed serious, you could still share a single torrent file (which would require the user to manually add to a torrent client...

Regarding the forthcoming bandwidth peak, I believe torrents could be a solution. You could also add a torrent engine inside the updater in order to automatically download a newer version (well, maybe sometime)!

NO it will not play with the correct display dimensions on an iPod or AppleTV. This is because QuickTime/iPod ignores PAR and sets everything to 1:1. It has nothing to do with the .mp4 standard. Clever, indeed... However, a few notices: 1. Is non-square PAR supported by the mp4 standard? That said, will a movie with PAR different than square play OK on iPod and AppleTV? 2. Could someone please comment on this "PAR" acronym? What is it? I've been delving around in such progects' forums for years (3ivx, MediaPipe, ffmpeg) and never heard of such thing!

Actually, screenshots should really be in png format. Better quality, good lossless compression on flat colors.
