Would you mind trying the nightly build? A screenshot would also be helpful.

It would help. And we require it for all requests. It's the only way we can see what HandBrake is really doing, "under the hood".

I assume this is related to https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues/205

Please post an encode log and I'll be glad to take a deeper look. Thanks. :)

Fixed on master in 71ed73b and 0.10.x in a6f62a4. We probably won't be doing another 0.10.x release; nevertheless, it's on the branch.

Re: CentOS 6 Compile Issue

It does, at least 2.7.10 on OS X. It appears some versions of Python exhibit a bug where something that can potentially be null can't be repeated. In this case, (.*)? is the culprit; Python is basically saying an optional series of characters * can't be made more optional with ? . Anyway, your chang...

Re: Anyone tips for VHS (DV-file) to h.264 encodes?

I've taken the NLMeans parameters I provided here and developed a new tune called Tape for analog sources. It will be available in the next nightly build along with a tune for 2D game sources called Sprite. NLMeans Light Tape is now the same as NLMeans Custom 2:0.9:3:5:2:0:6:0.9:5:5:2:0 above. More ...

Re: NLMeans denoise filter

New NLMeans tunes will be in the next nightly build. Tape is for analog tape sources including VHS, and Sprite is for most 1-/4-/8-/16-bit 2D games. Tape is about 50% faster than Film and in addition to analog tape sources, may be useful on lower quality standard definition sources such as DVD trans...

After you've removed the offending track, drag the file containing the desired track onto the window.

In the meantime, take a look at Subler for removing the offending track and muxing in the original audio.

Just tried a quick encode of the original with a nightly build and have no problems either. I suspect there is something up with your playback software, settings, or graphic drivers / control panel.

Re: >Newbie< Redline in converted Vid

I am downloading the original file now. I do note that the HandBrake encoded clip does *not* have a vertical red line through the picture for me in QuickTime Player or VLC. Is the line present for you and if so, what software are you using the play the clip?

Re: Support 75/90/120 FPS in Framerate combobox.

This would be simple enough to add. And I don't see any reason not to, so conditionally accepted (have to see what the other devs think). No objections here, either. Perhaps 72, 75, 90, 100, 120. I spec'd some of those out when I last added some, but we agreed to stick to 60 fps and lower at the ti...

Interesting, I had no idea it had such a bad rap. Well, hardware from Elgato and others may be a better choice if the source and computer aren't modern and pristine.
