https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/ActivityLogByPlatform

Also, logs need to be in the code blocks.

Re: Handbrake not working on new Mac

I'd venture to guess, without your encode log to confirm, that you have yet to install the libs from VLC people.

Yes, you would have to use some sort of disc image format to keep the menus.

Re: uncondensed LPCM audio?

If you follow musicvid's advice, you would need to check the encode log to see if there were any frames skipped during the encode to see if you would be able to mux the source audio back in.

Re: Standard Definition High Definition Constant Quality Set

One problem is that people refuse to believe what the tooltips indicate. It's not an error, that's the way CRF works.

Just like when people want to know what the best preset is for their device, ie AppleTV, when there is an AppleTV preset that they don't think is the one they want to use.

I'm sure you're aware that logs are always helpful to see what is going on with Handbrake.

I believe that is the way Handbrake is designed to work, and it's also the same with the audio streams.

I don't know what the limitations are to your Vizio HTIB setup is. Does it not support DTS?

People keep asking the same question. I doubt that putting different expressions in the tool tip would help in any way.

With a remuxer. You could look at VideoHelp.com for remuxing tools. Or if you have access to a computer running OS X, then Subler is a great way to go.

Re: HandBrake 0.10.0 Beta - Discussion Thread

When you go to the download page and then want to read about the changes you are sent to this link ( https://trac.handbrake.fr/milestone/HandBrake%20Next ) which then gives you:
Error: Invalid milestone name

Milestone HandBrake Next does not exist.

Re: After source scan, no data in "title" or any other field

You need to rip the disc with MakeMKV, and then you'll get some mkv files which you then feed to Handbrake.

If you want to just use the DVDs in the drive, then you'll need something that does decryption in the background like AnyDVD.

Restarting an encode most likely will not happen, but the rest sounds like a nice iDea.

For one thing, make sure you're using a current nightly or the 0.10 release as it, IIRC, can handle the interlaced VC-1 source that BBC loves so much.

Ok. Since I can do some transcoding now, I figured I'd try and see if there was much that I could contribute to the testing, but I'll stick with the nightlies.

Looks like it might be cool enough in a couple of days to get the beast going with some Handbrake love. Is there anything I should look for when I get it going to test 0.10.0 b2? Or should I just treat it as a new nightly? Also, what version will it show in the log? Is it "svn6361 (Nightly Buil...

Go to the Video tab and right under Optimize Video: is a check box to "Use Advanced Tab instead." If you select it, you can then click on the advanced tab and do the things you wanna do.
