Re: Hey thanks..

I would love to preserve the dolby digital though... As eddyg said, until Apple come to the party you have to decided what's best for you. For me, keeping the Dolby Digital or DTS track was just as important as the quality of the picture therefore i use this method: http://www.garcias.com/iWeb/TheG...

I would be totally interested in what SPECIFIC settings you used that you are getting NO JITTER with. I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem for over a week now and the only thing I haven't tried is hooking up my AppleTV via ethernet to my iMac that is hosting the videos. Currently I am us...

Also, those of you that have the jitter, are you running your video through the HDMI or Component connections? I didn't re-test, but yesterday I thought an encode that gave me jitter on my 42" (hdmi), didn't on my Projector (Component). HDMI for me - haven't tried it thru Component but will gi...

Sorry to drag this topic back up but SicMX did you find any possible resolution to this? I have had the same problem for the first time the other night. For me, the lesser of 2 evils has been to de-interlace the material that needed it - however i came across a disc the other night that i thought wo...

So strange! I've encoded the same movie (Star Wars EpisodeIII) twice - cabac on and cabac off all other settings the same. Playing both of them on my Samsung 226BW (snap!) they both have blockiness and black level issues and look no different to each other. Streaming both of them to my 43" Pion...

Just wondering - when you are playing your movies back are you streaming it to another PC monitor or a Plasma / LCD? I only ask because if i watch one of my converted movies on my Samsung 22" LCD PC monitor i see all sorts of black issues, and terrible blocky pictures - however when streamed to...

I tried dynaflash's settings but it reverted me to my original issue (stuttery video when streaming - ok when synced). As soon as i put cabac=0 back in my movie it plays smoothly when streaming. I think i will stick with that setting but have upped my bitrate to 3000. Now done over 20 movies with th...

I've been having this same problem and have had a conversation over on the apple forums about jittery streaming playback. I'm encoding @ 2500 with the Apple-TV preset and when streaming the movie (with a Netgear N Router) it just keeps freezing, however syncing it plays fine. So i hardwired my aTV t...

I had this same issue when viewing early season X-Files in 4:3. After reading another post quite a while ago i now do the following on all my 4:3 material. Open up my handbraked mp4 in Quicktime, show Movie Properties, select the H.264 video track and then Visual Settings. Deselect the Preserve Aspe...
