Mandatory Subtitles

Certain movies (Babel, Hunt For Red October) have ‘mandatory subtitles’ or translations that appear no matter what. I was wondering if it would be possible to get MediaFork to encode these without encoding all the other subtitles. How hard would this be? Could this be implemented for v0.9 with color...

Remember Folder

Could you guys make it so the input path and output path are independent of each other in terms of the finder remembering what location I choose last. Or put something in the Preferences that allows me to define a default output path.

Thanks.

More info in Show Queue

I would like to see more info about my tasks when I click 'Show Queue'. Output resolution, frame rate, kbs, etc. This would be very valuable has a double check tool when starting a large batch of tasks.

Thanks. Ready to donate!

Asking for this as a feature in MediaFork might be silly, but the question was intresting. It would be valuable to see how much content we can get Apple TV to play. Perhaps by creating reference movies or wrapping a movie in a certain container we can get Apple TV to play more stuff.

Apple TV on a 1080p or 720p TV?

Will 640 x 480, 1500 kbs, h.264 encoded movies look better on a 720p or 1080p TV of the same size via an Apple TV?

I need to buy a HDTV and was wondering if the low resolution of current iTMS content will look better on certain TVs.

re-encode?

I am encoding a TV show that is 29 fps. I rarely (1 in 20) see a frame (in MediaFork) that looks like it needs to be deinterlaced, but I checked deinterlace anyway. Are some shows deinterlaced more? Why can I see it more on other shows? I plan on watching these with an Apple TV. Should I re-encode w...
