Tools Menu -> Preferences -> Minimise to System Tray

Do you have this turned on? If you do, it will disappear from the task tray and go into the system tray.

Looks like your presets file got corrupted or wasn't reading correctly. If it's clear, it's clera and you should be good.

libdvdcss is not supported. Avoid trying to use it as it's known to cause problems or just flat out not work.

Your output is constant. MediaInfo is mis-reporting it due to the 90khz clock used.
There is nothing wrong with your file.

HandBrake doesn't use ffmpeg so doesn't generate said commands. You need to tell it to use the Ultrafast preset for SVT since that's what your using in HandBrake. I don't know the arguments for that off the top of my head.

Speed can vary dramatically depending on settings used.

There is no magic in HandBrake.

SVT doesn't use the GPU at all so that's not what's driving it. It's maybe UI updates or something causing it to appear like load but no encoding is happening on your GPU. It simply doesn't support AV1

SVT-AV1 is not QuickSync. It's a software encoder only.

MakeMKV isn't transcoding. Take the MakeMKV output and run it though HandBrake to reduce the size.
The MakeMKV output is just the DVD's Mpeg2 wrapped in MKV with any crap removed.

.... x86_64-Win_GUI.exe is a standard GUI installer. .zip is a portable version.

There is no automatic updates for nightlies.

If unsure, goto the Reset tab in preferences and hit the reset button under User Settings. That will reset everything.

You still have QSV decoding turned on, which won't work with your extremely out of date graphics drivers.

Untick the decoder options too. (You may need to re-enable the encoder option to be able to do so first)

We'd need to see encode logs from both machines to understand what your doing on both.

Let me do some digging to see if there is anything we can do about this.
