Simple answer. No, Handbrake doesn't. You want MakeMKV for that. I would still be inclined to keep an ISO image of your DVD... in case the DVD(s) get damaged/lost/become unreadble in the future... look at how relatively difficult it is to play VHS these days. I noticed this yesterday. Logs show only 10 scans are done, no matter what the setting (or how the setting is changed).

The config file also always says 10, no matter what setting is selected in the GUI.
Changing the config file by hand (to 10,15,20 or 30) doesn't alter Handbrake's behaviour.
