Re: Frame Selection
Is there a way to fix it without having to re-record it (that was such a pain to do in the first place)?

Re: Frame Selection
Well, typical films of the era were shot at about 16 fps, so that makes sense (which is why, I assume, the log says the source file is 16.5 fps).

Re: Frame Selection
Actually, I asked for 500 (100 to 600). The HandBrake GUI even shows 600. I don't know why the log says 700. Either way, 600 frames should still be only 6 seconds at 100 fps, not 39. HandBrake's GUI evens says the duration should be 6 seconds. Thanks. source: General Complete name : D:\Download\Stag...

Frame Selection
Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible: I am trying to encode a video, while cutting off parts of the beginning and ending via the frames selection (seconds work but are too coarse). Handbrake doesn't seem to be calculating frames correcting. The video source is 100 fps (even tho...

[Confirmed] Latest Build Crashes
Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible: Nightly HandBrake-6c731e1_x86_64-Win_GUI.exe crashes at startup. What are the steps to reproduce this problem: Simply launch HandBrake. Re: Subtitle Presets
I'm not a C# guy, but I replaced the commented out line with:
and it seems to work.
Thanks.
Code: Select all
preset.SubtitleTrackBehaviours.SelectedBehaviour = EnumHelper<SubtitleBehaviourModes>.GetValue(importedPreset.SubtitleTrackSelectionBehavior);
Thanks.

[Fixed] Subtitle Presets
The latest build doesn't load the subtitle track selection behavior preset correctly. I looked in the C# code and the line to load that item is commented out ("JsonPresetFactory.cs", line# 362).
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Archive for Nightly Windows Builds
Do you know what version(s) you are looking for? I've started keeping old versions after I found some functionality broken in newer releases.

Re: Weird Duration of Encoded File
Sigh. You'd think I'd learn not to even bother. I withdraw the complaint. I'll just find an old version that still works.

Re: Weird Duration of Encoded File
You posted an incomplete encode log. Also forcing the framerate to constant with detelecine active is not likely to produce the output you want. I apologize for the incomplete log. I don't know how that happened. I haven't ever had a problem setting a constant frame rate with detelecine before. Reg...

Re: Weird Duration of Encoded File
FYI: I was able to transcode these same videos a few years ago with HandBrake without issue.

Weird Duration of Encoded File
I'm trying to transcode some videos (DVD special features). Sometimes, I get one that, although successful, displays a very large duration when played (over 500 hrs.). I tried first extracting the title with MakeMKV, but I get the samething. I opened it in MediaInfo and it has this oddity "Time...

Re: Image Corruption
I found an old version from about 5-6 months ago that works fine (6596). Here are the logs. Scan: HandBrake svn6596 (Nightly Build) - 64bit Version OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 - 64bit CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz Ram: 32717 MB, GPU Information: AMD Radeon HD 7900...

Re: Image Corruption
Interlaced VC-1 decoding has been a challenge for lavc for a while now. Can you provide the old encode logs where it worked fine? No, sorry, that was a year ago. Edit: It was transcoded on 4/28/2014. If anyone has an old version from around that time, I'd be willing to give it a go and generate logs.

Re: Image Corruption
The above is from my backups. PAR2 doesn't say there is any corruption, but you never know. Always, in case it makes a difference, I pulled out the original discs. I have the same issue. Image Corruption
I am trying to re-transcode some Blu-ray special features than I had done successfully with HandBrake a year ago. Now the resulting picture is horribly corrupted and pixelated. The Blu-rays themselves are fine. They play without issue, and if I extract the titles using Makemkv, they look fine. Here ...

Re: HB sometimes uses ~100% CPU, sometimes less than half
Thanks. I'll give that a try. I'd already customized all of my power options, but saved as a modified "Balanced" plan. Explicitly using High Performance makes a difference? To be honest, it's been awhile. I do remember using a registry hack I found while googling the issue, but I believe ...

Re: HB sometimes uses ~100% CPU, sometimes less than half
I ran into this issue when I first built an i7. Unless you configure it not to in the power settings, Windows will throttle back most of your cores (even if there is a program running that will make use of them). It does this seemingly at random--very annoying. Go into your Power Options (Control Pa...

Last GUI Changes
I just wanted to say I love the latest GUI changes. I use AutoIt to automate the GUI (along with a program I wrote to convert my old queue files into AutoIt scripts), and the new changes--although minor--make the automation easier. The counter added to the "Show Queue" button is fantastic....
