Not a Handbrake Problem. You either have a hardware/Driver issue or another piece of software causing a corruption issue.

No there isn't because there is nothing wrong.

You still have hbcli open. Just force close it using ctrl-alt-del in the usual fashion.

It wont take more than 2 minutes. If its taking longer than that, hbcli has probably crashed and still running/sleeping in the background.

Windows doesn't have a sodden clue when an application has crashed, Especially when it comes to multi-threaded applications.

If the read DVD window remains open, It means the CLI executable is running. Its not crashed, its simply in a waiting state.

Memory is not hard disk space .... They are completely separate.

The requirements clearly state you need 512MB RAM and you obviously don't have that. Running Handbrake with less than that is just asking for trouble.

There are reasons for the installer being set at 320 and they are listed in the FAQ.

Clear your tempory files folder out.
Re-download the file
Try Installing again.

If that fails your Windows Installer is the problem.

1GB is large enough.

The only limit is 4GB. It has nothing to do with ram. Simply set the target file size to between 1000 ~ 2000 (MB) Thats more than enough for good quality video.

Can you copy the output from tools > view DVD data here.

The error message basically means errors were detected on the disc. In some cases this won't be a problem. In others it will result in a few titles missing or encode failures.

Its most definatly not a major flaw. Its called moving forwards. Some of the features / coding techniques require 10.4+ in order to function correctly. Nothing we can do about that. Its already been said its not 10.3 compliant and also it says 10.4 or above on the download page... The CLI will work ...

The advanced h264 options used on that profile will do that. It does however give much nicer videos out.

That really depends. With some discs it may well cause problems, on others it may be fine.

Depends on the copy protection techniques used. It may well just be discarding Fake titles etc but its difficult to say. If its encoding fine then it should be ok.
