Re: Subtitle Presets

I'm not a C# guy, but I replaced the commented out line with:

Code: Select all

            preset.SubtitleTrackBehaviours.SelectedBehaviour = EnumHelper<SubtitleBehaviourModes>.GetValue(importedPreset.SubtitleTrackSelectionBehavior);
and it seems to work.

Thanks.

[Fixed] Subtitle Presets

The latest build doesn't load the subtitle track selection behavior preset correctly. I looked in the C# code and the line to load that item is commented out ("JsonPresetFactory.cs", line# 362).

Thanks.

Re: Archive for Nightly Windows Builds

Do you know what version(s) you are looking for? I've started keeping old versions after I found some functionality broken in newer releases.

Re: Weird Duration of Encoded File

Sigh. You'd think I'd learn not to even bother. I withdraw the complaint. I'll just find an old version that still works.

Re: Weird Duration of Encoded File

You posted an incomplete encode log. Also forcing the framerate to constant with detelecine active is not likely to produce the output you want. I apologize for the incomplete log. I don't know how that happened. I haven't ever had a problem setting a constant frame rate with detelecine before. Reg...

FYI: I was able to transcode these same videos a few years ago with HandBrake without issue.

Weird Duration of Encoded File

I'm trying to transcode some videos (DVD special features). Sometimes, I get one that, although successful, displays a very large duration when played (over 500 hrs.). I tried first extracting the title with MakeMKV, but I get the samething. I opened it in MediaInfo and it has this oddity "Time code...

Re: Image Corruption

I found an old version from about 5-6 months ago that works fine (6596). Here are the logs. Scan: HandBrake svn6596 (Nightly Build) - 64bit Version OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 - 64bit CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz Ram: 32717 MB, GPU Information: AMD Radeon HD 7900...

Re: Image Corruption

Interlaced VC-1 decoding has been a challenge for lavc for a while now. Can you provide the old encode logs where it worked fine? No, sorry, that was a year ago. Edit: It was transcoded on 4/28/2014. If anyone has an old version from around that time, I'd be willing to give it a go and generate logs.

Re: Image Corruption

The above is from my backups. PAR2 doesn't say there is any corruption, but you never know. Always, in case it makes a difference, I pulled out the original discs. I have the same issue. Scan log: HandBrake svn7187 (Nightly Build) - 64bit Version OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 - 64...

Image Corruption

I am trying to re-transcode some Blu-ray special features than I had done successfully with HandBrake a year ago. Now the resulting picture is horribly corrupted and pixelated. The Blu-rays themselves are fine. They play without issue, and if I extract the titles using Makemkv, they look fine. Here ...

Re: HB sometimes uses ~100% CPU, sometimes less than half

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I'd already customized all of my power options, but saved as a modified "Balanced" plan. Explicitly using High Performance makes a difference? To be honest, it's been awhile. I do remember using a registry hack I found while googling the issue, but I believe it was jus...

Re: HB sometimes uses ~100% CPU, sometimes less than half

I ran into this issue when I first built an i7. Unless you configure it not to in the power settings, Windows will throttle back most of your cores (even if there is a program running that will make use of them). It does this seemingly at random--very annoying. Go into your Power Options (Control Pa...

Last GUI Changes

I just wanted to say I love the latest GUI changes. I use AutoIt to automate the GUI (along with a program I wrote to convert my old queue files into AutoIt scripts), and the new changes--although minor--make the automation easier. The counter added to the "Show Queue" button is fantastic. Just want...

Well, I must be dim then. I've never found any way to match that behavior in the default. I thought it must be something intrinsic to the built-in itself.

Re: Updating of Presets

It's not messing with your computer. The built in preset files are managed by the app as they are owned by the app. s55: Is there a way to replicate High's behavior of taking the first audio track and saving it twice, once as AAC and then as pass-through? I've never been able to do that. I really l...

Re: Updating of Presets

No, it's not, because I don't use user presets. So, any issues of reuse is moot. I try them once in a while to see how they progressed but that is all. I don't save them nor try to use old ones. Nor have I ever tried to use a an old presets file. When I update HandBrake, it updates the presets and a...

Re: Updating of Presets

Because I've always found the user presets to be buggy and don't save every setting, and don't seem to be able to do somethings the build-in presets can. So, whenever I update HandBrake, the first thing I do is set High to default, delete all the other presets, then I manually modify the presets fil...

Re: Subtitles and HD TV Live

I'm sorry. I meant to write "run it through mkvmerge " not MakeMKV. I am pleasantly surprised that MakeMKV will also compress the tracks. Also, if you still want to use DVDFab, you can get the non-U.S. version by using a proxy server, or just search the web. If you do the later make sure to verify t...

Re: Subtitles and HD TV Live

I assume you mean "WD TV Live." I don't know if this is your problem, but if these are blu-ray's, the WD will not display PGS subtitles unless they are compressed using zlib. If you take the output from HandBrake and run it through MakeMKV, it will automatically compress them for you.
