Re: [Future] Named subtitle tracks

Just to be clear: named audio-tracks working only with m4v.
named subtitle-tracks don't work with m4v or mkv

Re: [Script] rip all episodes or only main-feature from DVD

I've updated the archive.
--title is now also set if you use a preset

To set the current time into your output-filename you can simply use #ts# as placeholder.

To use another encode you don't have to modify the script - simply pass it as extra-argument to the call.
--xtra "--encoder ffmpeg4"

Re: Handbrake does not recognize title with main feature

I've tried to scan the dvd with --no-dvdnav. This seems to get the correct values but ends in an segmentation fault HandBrakeCLI --scan -t 0 --no-dvdnav -i /dev/rdisk1 [03:20:03] hb_init: starting libhb thread HandBrake 0.9.8 (2012071800) - Darwin x86_64 - http://handbrake.fr 4 CPUs detected Opening...

Re: Handbrake does not recognize title with main feature

And how long does this take typically?
I've started the process but it says that it takes ~1 hour - is this normal?

Re: Handbrake does not recognize title with main feature

Is it possible to copy the DVD with MakeMKV to harddisk?
Or should I create a MKV at first and encode this to mp4 ?

Handbrake does not recognize title with main feature

I'm trying to convert my resident evil dvds with HandbrakeCLI. This works fine for all titles but not for Resident Evil - Extinction If I run HandbrakeCLI --scan -t 0 -i /dev/rdisk1 title 2 and 3 are skipped but title 2 contains the main-feature. If I play the DVD with VLC or the OSX DVD-Player ever...

Re: small feature-request: dump dvd-label

I'll try this after my current encoding job is done.

I have'nt use the device - I used the mount-point as input for handbrake.

Btw.: I have the same issue on my windows-pc.

[edit]
If I use /dev/rdisk1 I also get the DVD-Title.

small feature-request: dump dvd-label

I've currently no option to get the dvd-label (os-independent).
--> Necessary for: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=26163

It would be nice if HandbrakeCLI would simply output the dvd-label somewhere.

Thanks

Re: tiny bug in output

Ok then it's no problem with line-breaks but it is still a "problem" ;-)

tiny bug in output

It i really just a tiny "bug". During encoding HandbrakeCLI shows the progress which works fine - but there is a problem with line-breaks. The current output is Encoding: task 1 of 1, 0.00 %[17:53:47] sync: first pts is 3600 Encoding: task 1 of 1, 4.24 % (31.76 fps, avg 34.00 fps, ETA 01h24m18s)[17:...

Re: [Future] Named subtitle tracks

I've converted a movie to mkv with the parameters - vlc at least does not show the track-names (with m4v it works).

[Script] convert episodes or main-feature from DVD or BD or convert multiple files (on any os)

I've created a ruby-Script to add some more features to HandbrakeCLI (see advantages) With the script you can convert all your material and filter tracks, languages etc. You can download the latest release here: https://github.com/AlBundy33/hb_rb/tree/master/build Just download HandbrakeCLI for your...

Re: [Future] Named subtitle tracks

https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/CLIGuide says
-A or --aname: sets an audio track's name. Only available in .mp4 files. This is useful for the AppleTV, which otherwise gets confused when more than one track is in the same language and codec.

[Future] Named subtitle tracks

An option to set the name of the subtitle-tracks would be nice.
--> according to the parameter "--aname"

Why is it not possible to use this names on MKVs?

Thanks
