HB can't deal with your disk, rip with something intended for that purpose like MakeMKV.

Re: Best Filters for Eureka Blu-Ray Set

Alright, then people posting recipes could specify their Handbrake version and/or build number, perhaps with others later updating the thread with their recipe for the latest version of Handbrake. Yea, that would solve it, since users are so well known for reading, carefully considering, and unders...

Re: Need to Further Reduce File Sizes, Especially in Sub-5MB File Size

Yea, very fast is not... very efficient.

Pick a slower preset, x265 encoder, and a higher RF target by a few (5?) points to get a smaller file with the best shot at quality.

Try decomb instead of detelecine, and post your log from that attempt.

Re: Feature Request : Upscaling

HB supports upscaling with the good interface (CLI). It's not in the GUI since it would be mostly misused by idiots. The rough theory is if you really need upscaling you should be able to figure out the CLI.

1.1.0 is years old and not supported, what about the current release or nightly since the release is 8 months old.

Re: Ryzen 3900x performance issue

HB/H.265 is a common compute intensive task a lot of people do, and the new super-high-core-count CPUs are not particularly well suited for it.

Or journalists are idiots.

Re: Getting Good Results Ripping 4K

I don't use the main-10-intra profile as I find it makes the files unnecessarily large and the quality is worse than when not using it. I do use main10 though. I can provide my settings if you wish. Though while I was testing I did have some movies using main-10-intra and they played back fine on t...

Re: Better encodes from Mac vs PC?

Yea, there's no chance a question about the differences in two specific encodes is a general question not requiring logs. All the settings I can see in the GUI are identical between the two. So it must be something behind the scenes? Extremely unlikely; very likely something you missed in the GUI. E...

Re: GeForce GTX 1660 or GTX 1660 TI?

If you're that happy with lower res/low quality, you'd probably be happy with a veryfast x264 encode that would deliver about the same.
