Known list of dependencies for 9.3?

I am building HandBrake from source on a few different Nix platforms and while it is building nicely on some, libxvidcore is failing on others and I have not yet sorted out why. I have noted a few other new dependencies since 9.2 so I wondered if there were any known lists of 9.2-9.3 dependency chan...

Re: DVD Disc Name to Title Name Database

We initially looked into doing some screen-scraping to try to jump-start the database but the kind of information we needed simply was not reliably-available on imdb...specifically, extra feature names and track index mappings. Nothing tricky but enough was missing that we let it go. Its just too va...

Re: To pre-rip dvd to hdd first?

Re: DVD Disc Name to Title Name Database

I have a set of wrapper scripts for HandBrakeCLI that uses it to automatically select the right tracks to rip and names them appropriately. I have GPLed the source and...

Re: Thanks, Television, and Flow-Chart

Hi. I think the makers of this fine tool can answer this way better than I because it sounds like you are finding your way through the maze of options like I am and have been for years (no one to ask). IF you run a modern Linux (might work on a Mac OSX box) and are a reasonably-advanced user I have ...

Re: Multicore vs. single core performance

Thats interesting because I have a Phenom, several dual-cores and a few single-cores. The dual-cores all seem to be nearly 40-60% faster than the single-cores. Now the Phenom rips at single speed BUT is running a non-SMP etch so HB only sees one proc. I have also noticed that 64 bit versus 32 yields...
