Re: File sizes

Target file size is not possible within HB.

You can calculate the necessary settings using an online bitrate calculator then use those settings to get your desired size.

This feature was removed from HB, if you search for target file size you will see why.

There are many file size calculators online if you google for them.

It didn't work very well and the usage was generally misguided, so no, I don't think it will ever come back.

Re: How to create handbrake script to encode

There are several examples in the Command Line Interface section. They vary in programming language, but you can use the techniques within them in almost any scripting language that can execute a command with arguments.

Trying for a target file size is not something Handbrake does.

Setting a specific file size

Hi everyone,
i tried googling and a search in the forum but i cannot find how do i set the target file size in version 0.9.9 x86_64 (2013051800).

Is it still possible, and if yes how?

Watching a 16GB Marry Poppins 50th edition is a bit overkill :)

Cheers

If you're using an obsolete version of Handbrake then feel free to waste either the file or space on Target File Size.
