Re: iDentify 2 metadata tagger

i can't believe I missed that. I guess I've been wanting it for so long, I stopped looking to see if it was there. Or if I did I just glanced and saw MetaX there and moved on.

Re: iDentify 2 metadata tagger

There have been lots and lots of stability and glitch fixes since I last posted here. I hope you guys find the improvements welcome. I would love to see some integration with handbrake like how handbrake can send the file to metaX. Rodney is a good guy, but I don't think metaX has been updated in a ...

I haven't been able to test with files >4GB yet. But I use the appleTV preset in my HB encode which has 64 bit support enabled. I don't know why it wouldn't work.

Re: iDentify 2 metadata tagger

FYI: just found the cause of all my debugging code getting logged instead of just the intended stuff. You should see a large decrease in the amount written to your console starting next release, and even less as I complete the conversion to my new debugging setup. the setup is pretty simple really, ...

I just have the wordpress page linked above. You can always just post comments under the respective builds there. Or just e-mail me. E-mail would actually get the fastest response.

Re: iDentify 2 metadata tagger

I'm actually already in the process of adding some custom debugging code. Just a lot of logging to move to my new method. Judging from the console output, it looks like you might still be running build 224. Might want to give 232 a try. If my debuggin change is working correctly, it should get cut d...

iDentify 2 metadata tagger

Hey guys, Some of you already use identify to automatically pull down metadata info for your files and tag it. What you may not know is iDentify 2 was released recently. The new version of iDentify was rebuilt from the ground up in cocoa, not perl (as with iDentify 1) and includes a full gui for edi...

Re: Snow Leopard + SVN crashes

I'll have to reenable the shares at some point so that Fusion can access my Tivo files so I can edit out the commercials with videoredo. Be nice if there was some decent mac software that can do that kind of simple editing. mpeg streamclip is flaky, and the final cut series doesn't support direct ed...

Re: Snow Leopard + SVN crashes

VLC was doing nothing. As mentioned, it was only open long enough to get the version number. I hate using it as a player, and never open it. Its being open in this case has nothing to do with my crashes. here are the crash logs. Process: HandBrake [11671] Path: /Applications/HandBrake 2885.app/Conte...

Snow Leopard + SVN crashes

I am currently running OSX 10.6.1. Handbrake SVN 2885. VLC 1.0.2 (32 bit) on an iMac with a 2 GHz intel Core Duo (Core 1, not core 2). I am experiencing frequent crashes when attempting to open any video or dvd for conversion. I select a file or a dvd drive. Once I click open, there is about a 50% c...

Re: [MacGUI] [svn 2311] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

Well, locking the framerate seems to work. Gonna suck having to manually check set the framerate on everything just to avoid having to re-encode. Should probably get looked into.

Re: [MacGUI] [svn 2259+] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

Well, just redid a couple of dvds with svn 2311 that didn't work previously, and they still won't sync to the appletv using the appleTV presets. Here is the activity for one [23:14:29] scan: title (0) job->width:720, job->height:304 [23:14:29] scan: title (1) job->width:640, job->height:272 [23:14:2...

Re: [MacGUI] [svn 2259+] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

Looks like svn 2311 fixes the issue. the encode that didnt work on 2259 worked on 2311 and was about half the size, and half the bitrate. Now I need to go back through and redo the half dozen dvds or so that didn't work on the previous svn. Thats the perils of using an svn release though.

Re: [MacGUI] [svn 2259+] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

yeah. ill let you know what happens with todays svn. i didnt have a full log, as it got pushed out of the activity window by some encodes later in the queue or at least, i couldnt figure out which one it was. so i rescanned the original source so i would at least be providing some sort of information.

Re: [MacGUI] [svn 2259+] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

as mentioned already, the video dimensions of the pre and post itunes appletv conversion are the same. the only thing I am seeing that is different is the bitrate. for example, the bitrate for the file i included the scan for above, is nearly 4000, while the itunes conversion would leave it around 2...

[MacGUI] [svn 2311] AppleTV Encodes won't sync

I am having this issue with a variety of sources, but most reproducably with blu-ray sources. Using the AppleTV preset with no changes whatsoever, the end result will not sync to the AppleTV. This has occured to me several times now, a couple times from a DVD source, very frequently from a blu-ray (...

[MacGui] [svn 2259+] preview window size

I have seen this issue for several svn revisions now. It seems to happen only with blu-ray .m2ts files fed into handbrake. The window containing the preview image takes up a very large portion of the screen, but only a fraction of that window contains an image, which is apparently scaled to 40% the ...

Re: Advanced Bluray/HDDVD Workflow & Features Discussion

No problem! The eac3to command line syntax can be quite confusing until you get the hang of it... it took me quite a few tries to finally get it figured out. It's a great utility with its only fault being that it isn't available cross-platform. Since it is a command line utility, should it not work...
