Re: Apple TV 2
Great work here mate!
One request: could you try a 720p sample encoded with High Profile 4.1 and a bitrate of 10.000 ?
Hope it works!

Another one: I noticed that the line breaks get lost when adding .srt subs. The rest is handled nicely!

Re: HandBrake SVN2773 Snapshot
Hi guys,
great job on the new snapshot! I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but I can't seem to be able to select the m4v file extension with the svn2773 snapshot (svn2773 x86_64 (2009082401)). What is going on?
Edit: Thanks for the quick reply!

Re: HandBrake Snapshot svn2592
Did some anamorphic iPhone encodes at 640x480 (853x480 anamorphic) and they looked awesome! On the windows version the app crashed though, so I had to use the CLI, but on the Mac it was all good. When can we expect the next snapshot with softsub support? I can't seem to compile it myself (I'm aware ...

Re: Soft Subtitles
Wow! Could you please provide me with an (Apple) Subtitle Track sample? I don't suppose it's the converted srt -> mp4 with the text changed to sbtl, right?
Btw do the Subtitle Tracks offer more effects than the ones I mentioned before? Maybe subtitle size that can be changed on the iPhone?

Re: Soft Subtitles
Isn't possible to get an iTunes movie that has CC's in it and see how that track looks like? I have searched all over the Apple Dev site about a specification for the Subtitle Track, but couldn't find any. I can't imagine that the only effects one can apply are bold and italic effects, even the posi...

Hanbrake 0.93 encoding stops after first pass
Hi people, I'm experiencing problems encoding a mkv file. I encoded other (smaller) files and a whole dvd without problems, not sure what goes wrong here. It just dies after the first pass. The only thing I changed is the R-frames. I set it to 6 instead of 1. It says out of memory, but why? What cou...

About my second question:
Is it possible with Handbrake 0.93? If not, can someone tell me if it will be?Also, is it possible to manually add chapters to a movie file that doesn't contain any?

Chapters (on iPhone)
Hi guys, I'm using Handbrake 0.93 and it's much improved! I have a question about chapters on the iPhone. The chapters generated by Handbrake work like they should, timing is perfect. But when I want to change chapters on the iPhone, I don't see the stills/pictures on the left side of the 'Chapter G...

Re: HandBrake 0.9.3: Released!
So isn't it possible to use the --markers flag to use external chapter files? For example:
--markers="chapters.txt"
If possible, which format should it be in?

Re: HandBrake 0.9.3: Released!
Btw, is it possible to manually add manual chapters (for movie files that don't have chapter info stored in them)? The cool thing about handbrake is that the chapters actually start where they supposed to (unlike doing it manually in Quicktime). Thanks for that!

Re: HandBrake 0.9.3: Released!
Congratulations guys! This is a mayor change. Just too sweet!
Not sure if this has been discussed before, but are you planning on adding selectable/soft subs to movies? (for the iPhone). That would make this app pretty much perfect! Thanks again!

Re: Soft Subtitle Research
Guys, good news, I found this site, and I did what it said, now I have: Video + 2 audio + 2 subs + chapters working on iPhone :) You need Dumpster or Ultra-Edit, mp4box and Quicktime Pro This what you do: - encode your movie in h264 and put it in a mp4 container (mp4box -add video.h264 -new output.m...

Re: Soft Subtitle Research
Shouldn't it be possible to add all the tracks one wants and then edit them in Dumpster to make them work on a iPhone? Example using mp4box/nicmp4box: mp4box -add video.h264 -add audio1:lang=eng -add audio2:lang=dut -add subs.srt -new output.mp4 - What atoms should be changed to get this working? - ...
