Thanks for the reply. So basically I can just keep it on at all times with no downside? Does it make the file production take longer? I'm basically ripping from DVDs so I assume the source is progressive but I'll leave it on if it can't hurt.

In the past I read it was recommended when using the Universal setting to set Detelcine On and set Decomb to default for the best overall picture.
