Re: Poor audio mix-down

I'll add in my interest here as well. Nothing appears to be wrong with the files themselves, but playback of the aac track is way low in volume, and dialogue is very soft compared to the rest of the audio. I see this being brought up from time to time, and someone always chirps in with increase drc....

Re: Last subtitle sticking on Apple TV

As far as I know this is an AppleTV bug. What I do is just add a blank line at the end of the .srt. This does work. You will of course have to remux the edited .srt into the file, and resync the file to the AppleTV. Even if your streaming.

[Invalid][SVN 2943] Blocky playback on TV

Not sure in what version this started happening but it is occurring in the latest as of now svn 2943. Using the exact same preset, files played back on my Tv come out very blocky, black scenes have large stripes through them, etc. When I revert back to svn 2921 the same preset produces a perfectly ...

Re: Combining sd and hd files made in handbrake in itunes?

1. Download subler. 2. Open both files with subler. 3. Add a CNID tag from the drop down menu to both files. 4. Fill in the CNID tag on both files ( I just make up a number like 5677), make sure it is the same for both files. 5. Change the type to either movie or tv show depending, under the "O...

Re: [Invalid] [SVN 2263] Incorrect Framerate

Funny how this was an invalid bug, yet after applying the patch van wrote, everything is back to normal. Clarify please so I can correctly interpret your snark: are you just applying the patch, or are you applying the patch as well as following van's advice to set a constant output fps? :) So far I...

Yeah, I've been following along there. Funny how this was an invalid bug, yet after applying the patch van wrote, everything is back to normal.

Thanks Van!

Re: Subler (like Muxo, maybe better?)

Yeah, I've downloaded and installed mp4v2 from source a while ago. Is there something I can do so that they don't "interfere" with each other?

Re: Subler (like Muxo, maybe better?)

I figured that much I guess. The reason I asked is I am currently showing build errors. I can't seem to produce a usueable executable. Building target “Subler” of project “Subler” with configuration “Debug” — (35 errors) mkdir /Users/jason/Downloads/Subler/build/Debug/Subler.app/Contents/MacOS cd /U...

Re: Subtitled movies stutter when streamed from iTunes-Any fix?

I experienced the same issue you are when streaming. What seemed to help in my case was to use the latest version of subler to add the subs, then use the optimize option in subler to resave the file.

Re: [Invalid] [SVN 2263] Incorrect Framerate

I don't know about rodeo, but the reason I started this thread was because after using the tv preset on many different .mkv files, I have just recently started seeing the issue reported. Up until now all of the re-encodes I have done have worked fine on my tv without ever having to change <same as...

[Invalid] [SVN 2263] Incorrect Framerate

Have noticed this with several files now. MediaInfo for mac reports source file as 23.976 fps. TV preset is being used with the exception of changing RF: value to 22, picture size to 1280 x * and turning off create chapter markers. The resulting .m4v file comes out as 40.961 fps? Anyone else seeing...

Re: My 5.1 DVD player plays mp4 but not m4v...help

I've used subler in the past to remove an ac3 audio track, then used save and optimize. Worked alright here with version .8a4.

Re: Subler (like Muxo, maybe better?)

I'm pretty sure the problem I am having is because the tracks in the .m4v were added in a "off" order. They were files that I had ripped with only a stereo/pro-logic track, then added the subtitle track. When a muxer was finally released that could do 64 bit mp4's, I later added the surrou...

Re: Subler (like Muxo, maybe better?)

Wonder if anyone else has seen this yet. I have a few .m4v files that I had muxed subtitles into using muxo. I have tried to use subler to remove the subtitle track that was added with muxo, then re-add the original .srt file back using subler. The file plays in itunes, but crashes my TV.

Re: Dialogue too soft, everything else loud

I have to agree with the original thread starter. Converting an AC3 track to dolby pro logic II, the dialogue end up very hard to hear unless you crank the volume on your tv up. Which wouldn't be a problem, but other non dialogue audio end up being way too loud then. I of course don't have any proof...
