Ok, so I stand corrected, but understand that I was trying to be helpful, not accusatory. Secondly, now that I know that the straight preset works, here is my question. Why when I change it to 2 pass 2000 kbps deinterlace does it no longer work? I assume there is some behind the scenes magic going o...

I believe the triangle button will let you view all files on the drive. If you can see the file and it still won't let you play it then you need to use different settings to encode. Hope this helps. Edit: I just checked by encoding a video in the new version of handbrake and I think the PS3 preset m...

Sorry if I was unclear, but what I was asking for was an extension of what is already there. I know I can already get only the segments that I want and then combine them after, what I was looking for was a way for handbrake to process chapters 1,3,4, and 6 for example into a single file. If there is...

I don't mean to sound totally clueless here, but I wasn't aware I could choose the chapters to be ripped in handbrake. Are we talking about another ripping program or is this all in handbrake? Incidentally, I use mactheripper and couldn't figure out how to exclude certain chapters in that either. Th...

Chapter exclusion
Looked all around and didn't see anything like this being planned so here goes. A chapter exclusion feature. When ripping some tv shows there will be a prologue, then the standard intro, then the rest of the episode. In order to maximize quality and minimize space, it would be nice to have an easy w...

Request for AVCHD support
I previously posted this as an edit in another thread, but as it was somewhat buried, i figured I might start a new thread so I hope you guys don't mind. I don't know if this is possible or easily implementable, but as a PS3 owner I'm looking to encode at the best quality with surround sound audio. ...

I'm not sure if the PS3 will be able to output the multichanel aac track, but part of the problem is the PS3's anal nature in reading header and wrapper information. Thus unless I missed something, the problem with using AC-3 passthrough in mediafork right now is that it requires an avi wrapper. The...
