no, it only searches tagchimp, but it can find a record based upon one of the identifiers from these other services.
I have wanted to add support for themoviedb and thetvdb, but there hasn't seemed to be much interest and I never got a clear answer on how to contribute code.

Re: iDentify 2 metadata tagger
Gave it a try. Does a good job of tv shows, but didn't seem too accepting when it comes to my naming scheme: /Volumes/Media/TV/TVShowname/TVShowname - Season 1/TVShowname - S01E01 - Episode Name.m4v It didn't do so well with movies. Is there a specific naming scheme required, or is perhaps failing b...

Fantastic news that sublercli now can do other tags. What would the syntax be to set the Long Description?

the two file containers are identical, so you can just change the m4v's to mp4's. Bear in mind though that some apple products require the m4v file extension for such things as chapters.
No idea why the same movie encoded twice with the same settings would create a different file extension...

Re: A Couple Questions about Handbrake, Please Help
my suggestion would be to rip the movies using the universal preset with NO subtitles. Then afterwards go to a site like opensubtitles.org and download CC subtitles for the movie you just transcoded. Using Subler (http://code.google.com/p/subler/) you can then add the subtitles as soft-subtitles. *d...

D-Vision can stitch together .avi files to one large one. Not sure how you would easiest do the chapter markers afterwards though...

Re: Add scrollbars for small windows
by far the easiest solution, because it is an option that exists right NOW, is to use the CLI tool if you need to remotely start a handbrake encoding

Re: Mac Pro - Best config for HB
I am sure I have read that if you want to use 100% of all CPU's, your best bet is to start one transcoding PER CPU, ie 8 cores = 8 simultaneous handbrake processes running.

is a decent tool. As the subtitles on dvd's usually are "images" rather then text strings, OCR software has to be used. d-subtitler does a decent job, but means you have to do some manual work.

I understand that these are features you desire, but remember that the developers implement features they themselves desire and use. As far as I can tell, few to none of them use XVID; H264 is where it's at yo 8) You might want to reconsider xvid, or start looking for another tool which hits closer ...

Re: "Universal" setting crashes Quicktime
yea, subler seems to fix most of those files for me too, though I didn't know it was due to the audio files being labeled as unknown. I have usually just chosen optimize; though when I think about it, I am a neat freak, and I might have subconsciously changed the audio files to english...

Why is h264 superior to divx/xvid
In another post I asked: How come AVI is so awful? and jbrjake replied: AVI is Microsoft's traditional half-assed non-forward-thinking nonsense. It is simply not designed for the modern world. It has no support for chapters or muxed-in subtitles. It is obsolete. It assumes every frame lasts the same...

How come AVI is so awful? I convert all my video to h264 M4V's, but I have some friends who swear by AVIs, and I would love for some ammunition for my discussions with them why M4V's are better
