Problems with the queue - last selection does not encode
Probably someone will point me to a bug that has already been documented (which I did not find), but is anyone else experiencing problems with the queue? I will set up several items to rip, and invariably only the first few complete, with the last item always requiring me to restart and just encode ...

No luck with certain DVDs (missing titles) v. Roxio Crunch
Hi. I have tried about everything to uncover missing titles in certain of my DVDs such as some of my children's DVDs (noodlebug - On the Move is one). Just as an experiment, I threw away $40 for Roxio Crunch just to see if it had better luck, and it did. It was able to see my title 1 (which is missi...

Queue and windows gui?
For each file I add to the queue to rip, do I have to reset the chapter check box if I want it to rip with chapters? For now, if I set up 10 items in the queue with chapter markers on, only the very first item (first set up on the queue, last to rip), has chapter markers and creates m4v files. All t...

Problem with chapter markers when using queue
Hoping someone has an easy fix for a problem I am experiencing - I am using handbrake with the windows GUI. I just absolutely love the queue! When, however, I queue up a bunch of jobs and want all of them to be ripped with chapter markers, I notice that only the very first job (the last rip) gets ch...

As far as I can tell, it is just not detecting the main feature which is title 1. It only detects starting with Title 4. Very odd. I have tried DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor, and also AnyDVD to rip or to extract the movie only file. Nothing appears to work. Really a bummer since it is the one DVD my son...

DVD without multiple small titles - ripping
I have one DVD in a series for my son that appears to be very different than the others. When I read it with Handbrake, there is not one large title that I can rip to get the full movie. Even though it plays exactly like all the others I ripped easily, this one has a bunch of smaller titles and none...

Here is what is killing me - when I try to play the DVD using windows media player 11, it plays fine, as if there is no region issue. But then when I just try to rip with Handbrake, I get a screen full of different colours. Just bizzare. So if it was a region coding issue, could I even play it with ...

I need to run some more tests tonight but the odd thing is that the DVDs play find thru Windows Mediaplayer. I was surprised by that - thought I'd have problems because of country codes. I will try a few more times without resorting to any specialised methods, but then maybe I will check out DVD dec...

I brought home some German DVDs for my son (really cute stories) and we can play them on my multi-region DVD player, but would love to rip them for using on my ATV just for convenience. However, when I tried ripping them with Handbrake, all I get are the solid bands of color that remind me of when i...

So far as an update, I tried to change from 720x480 to 720x400 with the thought this would make any difference, but it didn't. dynaflash, thanks for the suggestion. Let me play with that. It isn't a big deal - my kids don't really care about the black box, though I don't love it because I am still b...

Interesting. I choose the same size as the source (720x480) and it rips in this format which makes the box display. Is it possible for me to simply set the target to 720x400 and thus in essence force the full screen rip? Or does this not make sense? I'll do a quick experiment. Obviously useless if i...

Upconvert on an HDTV?
Hi. I am sure I am going to sound like a n00b, but since I am one with Handbrake and generally ripping DVDs, etc., oh well. I have read a few things about how to use Handbrake to rip for the iPod/Apple TV. I have a bunch of DVDs for my little son that I'd love to rip so he can watch over ATV, rather...
