Hey Simon, I've been doing same thing. I start with PS3 preset.

Then you need to chose "6 channel mixdown". Make sure audio codec is AAC. Works great you'll get nice AVC/AAC 5.1 encodes that look great on PS3 at 2500 kbps.

I encoded a video using new build 1477 using IDENTICAL CLI command as I use on HB 0.92 (using PS3 preset). With 1477, the resulting file plays fine on PS3, but on my Archos 605 when I skip ahead I get error: "Codec H.264 "Profile" and "Level" [Baseline/4.1] is not supported....

I use the PS3 setting since I want high quality DVD rips playable on the Archos 605 and PS3. It works well on both. Note though the Archos does not like "cropped" video so that setting needs to be off.

Works, thanks. Used -R 48000 instead. Just need to use CLI instead of GUI for now.

I can only get 44.1 audio with SVN 1457 even though GUI (and CLI) indicates 48.

This is with H264/AAC 6 channel.

I searched forum could not find any information on this. Tried on 2 computers. Same result. Am I doing something wrong?
