Re: Chapter Markers

Thank you for the answer...:( So, there could be a firmware update perhaps for the PS3 that will read the files as Quicktime does? Is there a Handbrake update that could resolve this issue? Let's face it, just about the majority of the planet has a PS3, this could be a useful option. I am currently ...

Chapter Markers

I did a search for the question I had...HEY, do I get brownie points for that? :) I noticed that when I HANDBROKE a video and even selected Chapter Markers...they would not work when using the PS3. So, to see if I was doing something wrong I did a search for Chapter Markers and saw that they can onl...

Re: Deinterlace - Faster, Slow or Slower

Deinterlace - Faster, Slow or Slower

What is the definition of each of these and which one should I use? I don't notice a difference between any of them when using the Picture Settings preview.

Re: Presets

Well, all of my widescreen movies show up just fine in widescreen. Rollerball as I said shows up as a very small video inside the TV.

Re: Presets

I will take pics of it showing on my TV...that is where you see it when I compare the Handbrake vs the DVD. Give me a chance to get the pics this weekend and I will post them.

Re: AppleTV Preset + 2-pass encoding?

Hey dylan,

I don't mind if the movie gets cropped to take the black bars out of the movie, but I DO mind if it actually crops the doggone movie!

Re: Presets

The full screen version and the widescreen version of the movie is on the same disc...it is one of those flip over disc DVDs if you know what I mean.

I have it on the widescreen version of the disc, so there is cropping going on, why I don't know...any ideas?

Re: AppleTV Preset + 2-pass encoding?

Hey dylan, I see you are having the same dilemma I am having. From what I am reading here, it is best to always use the 2-Pass option. That is what I am doing atleast. Are you having any cropping issues?

See my post here..http://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5911

Re: Presets

Thank you for the reply nightstrm, I notice however when using the AppleTV preset that my movies are getting cropped. Rollerball for instance, the 70's movie, had some cropping to it most notably on the sides more so than the top and bottom. I read in the best settings thread that one person set the...

Presets

Are the presets the absolute BEST encoding that can be done currently with that particular device, say in my case the AppleTV? Or have some of you tweaked that preset even more to get as close of a copy to the source as possible? I guess what I am trying to say if I am unclear is...I want to rip all...

AppleTV Settings

Some movies I have endcoded using the latest version of Handbrake and they come out looking good and others not so good. For instance, 3 Days Of The Condor came out looking really good but Paul McCartney's new videos from his latest album Memory Almost Full does not look so good. Are there some sett...
