Re: Build 3325 Failing
Yea deleting the build directory and redoing everything fixed the problem. I thought make clean rebuilt all of the dependencies but I guess not?

Build 3325 Failing
I haven't built HB in a few weeks and just tried to do a SVN update and build recently. I have OSX 10.6.3 with yasm and the dev tools installed. I've tried doing make clean and still get the error. I get the following error: Undefined symbols: "_dvdnav_dup", referenced from: _try_menu in l...

Re: Crash with TS file - SVN 2020
I noticed a VC-1 / AC3 ts file of mine crashed as well.
I'll see if I can dig up a crash report to help out when I get home tonight.

[SVN 1937] Crash while transcoding AVI files
Seems after x264 update(SVN 1928) I can no longer transcode avi files with XVID video and an MP3 audio track. I tried a file that I had successfully transcoded before the update and it crashed as well so I do not believe it's the files. Activity window before crash: [12:49:07] macgui: Handbrake Vers...

Re: AppleTV setting for Blu-Ray / 1080P rips
Make sure you update your built in presets. For HD sources the AppleTV preset will go to a 540P resolution. Yes the atv can play 720P at a 24/25 fps framerate, but at 30 it drops to 540P. So thats what the preset uses for uses for compatibility reasons. Will do ... Sorry for the post then ... I alw...

Re: Pie-in-the-sky request: HD DVD...
Once you have a proper rip to your hard drive (AnyDVD works great) do the following (Should work with latest SVN and Snapshot): Tools needed: vc1conv eac3to tsMuxeR EVO demux (Only needed for HD-DVD movies) HD-DVD movies come in either two flavors: Movies with H264 encodes or VC-1. VC-1 files need e...

AppleTV setting for Blu-Ray / 1080P rips
I've noticed with the latest SVN (and I assume for the snapshot as well) that with 1080P rips and selecting AppleTV it does not downscale the resolution to 720P like it should (Since the AppleTV can only play 720P rips). Should you be checking for this in rips over 720P or is this not possible? Chan...

Re: Blu-ray Disks
You'll need windows and bootcamp to decrypt the Blu-Ray disc. Since you don't have a intel mac your SOL regarding windows.
No Blu-Ray decrypting software exists for the mac as of yet and as stated above Handbrake has no intention of dealing with the headaches of incorporating it into their software.

Re: [SVN 1828] h.264 Blu-Ray streams not recognized (HDMV-DTS)
As a update I remuxed the video and AC3 file using eac3to to a MKV file with the -SeekToIFrames option (make all H.264 / AVC "I" frames seekable) and the new file is encoding fine now in HandBrake. I don't know if it was the addition of the -SeekToIFrames option or if it was the new contai...

Re: [SVN 1828] h.264 Blu-Ray streams not recognized (HDMV-DTS)
I'm having this issue even when I convert a blu-ray HDMV-DTS audio to AC3 (Using eac3to) and remux with TSMuxer ... I guess it's doing as your saying and doing a deep scan looking for an audio sync pattern. Is there anything I should be doing to the video before remuxing to prevent this? For instanc...

Re: [patch] BluRay, AVCHD & partial DVB H.264 support
VC-1 in m2ts isn't working yet. It follows the usual Micro$oft convention of deliberately doing something different than every other codec in existence. In particular you need to pull a header out of one place in the data stream then use it in another place far distant from the first. ffmpeg handle...

Re: [patch] BluRay, AVCHD & partial DVB H.264 support
I keep crashing during scanning large (30+GB) m2ts VC-1 files. Smaller encodes work perfect. This is on latest (as of post) SVN build. I just need the unencrypted m2ts file correct? Is there a extra patch for VC-1? Here is the crash report: Process: HandBrake [15267] Path: /Users/mcmurtry/Documents/...

Re: Mac GUI: Selecting MP4 renames m4v back to MP4 (w/ AC3+AAC)
Yes, good catch. That renaming was an 11th hour thing once we realized that we had to have .m4v or the DD goodness was lost ! One workaround: In Preferences tell HB to use .m4v extension for all mp4 files then you dont have an issue. :) Like I said it was minor and is more of a house cleaning fix f...

Mac GUI: Selecting MP4 renames m4v back to MP4 (w/ AC3+AAC)
This is for the Mac GUI .9.2 I don't have a console output because my handbrake is faithfully encoding now but this seems to be a GUI bug. To reproduce: 1. Select format: MP4 2. Select codec "AVC/H.264 Cideo/ AAC + AC3 Audio" and notice file correctly gets renamed to m4v 3. Reselect Format...
