Re: 0.9.2 Memory Leak
Initial test indicates that this fixes my memory leak issue with CCS. Now that it's not going to crash every 2 episodes, I can start really encoding again and testing it.

Re: Updated: memory leak on 2nd pass encodes
With VFR disabled (but detelecining still enabled), there appears to be no memory leak. Anything I can do to help pinpoint it even further? Edit: also, another weird bug I noticed, which I now know is related to VFR. With VFR enabled, I've been getting a resulting filesize of around 148mb when I'm t...

Re: Silent crash, semi-consistent, need help pinning down
Looks like you're right on the money. The crashing I'm getting is definitely due to a memory leak. More on the CCS encode, starting with episode 12 which is on disc 3, and continuing with disc 4 which has episodes 13-16. Below are the real memory / virtual memory usages of handbrake throughout the e...

Re: Silent crash, semi-consistent, need help pinning down
I can reliably reproduce the crash on CCS disc 2 exactly how I described in the first post, where it crashes on the second episode encoding. It doesn't matter if both of them are queued before encoding, or if they're encoded one after another manually. The GitS issue happened with 25 episodes in the...

Re: Silent crash, semi-consistent, need help pinning down
"This may seem like a silly question, but why are you using an application that hasn't been updated in nearly 3.5 years?" Because it's the fastest app I've found, and has worked on every anime disc I've fed it. "Also, you failed to mention whether you did a full disc rip with YadeX or...

Updated: memory leak on 2nd pass encodes with VFR enabled
I'm trying to encode Card Captor Sakura, but I've also had this issue (though less frequently) with Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig. Basically, it silently crashes at some point during the encoding. For CCS, it's usually happened on the 2nd episode it encodes. For GitS, I had a few random crashes, and th...
