Re: Soft Subtitle Research
I belive the font name and size atoms not specified. I want to recommend to try this program for Windows user. http://www.bomijoa.com/iphone/download/mp4te_0.3.2.msi Basically, you can convert the container from AVI (DX50/DVIX/XVID only) to MP4 without transcoding. But, audio will be transcoding to...

Re: hi-rez preset for ipod / resolution...
I'll reply just this once, and no more. On the viciousness: You liar! What gall! Jbrake doesn´t know me, might be the project admin and the all-around god here, but outright calling me a liar? I just reported what iTunes (and Quicktime) told me, the resolution the movie was in. Misinformed perhaps, ...

Re: hi-rez preset for ipod / resolution...
You know what, I could really post something justifying myself (if I'm actually right and you're wrong) or apologectic (if I'm actually wrong and you're right), but since I've been so viciously attacked, I'll just abstain from making any kind of comment here from now on.

Re: hi-rez preset for ipod / resolution...
Actually the iPod (Touch for instance) can play videos larger than 640x480. 'Stardust', which I bought at the Itunes Store, is encoded at 853x354 and 'To Catch a Thief' is encoded at 852x480. Those resolutions match a Criterion Collection DVD that I have, indicating it is Anamorphic Widescreen (and ...

Re: [Updated: SUCCESS!] Non-Handbrake solution for Subs/Captions
With Windows I couldn't find the place to put ClosedCaptionImporter.dmg, so QTpro won't recognize .scc files. Apple is really lacking on the whole subtitle/CC deal, lacking documentation, difficult implementation, etc. I really wish it was as simple as a .sub or a .sif file being overlaid on top of ...

Re: [Updated: SUCCESS!] Non-Handbrake solution for Subs/Captions
Is there a way to do this with windows? I hate hard-encoded subtitles, and now that QT supports *both* subtitles and closed captions, this should be easy to do, but there's no documentation or help that I can find. Can someone point me to the right direction? BTW, I prefer subtitles to captions, but...
