Re: Problems ripping LOST season 2

Also, it looks like as soon as HB saw the source go Progressive, it lost sync. Any ideas on anything I can try to fix? Here's the activity from running from pre-ripped from AnyDVD [15:10:12] hb_init: checking cpu count [15:10:12] hb_init: starting libhb thread [15:10:12] thread ed2348 started (&quo...

Problems ripping LOST season 2

Ok tried both on Windows and OS X. I have tried pre-ripping with AnyDVD , also tried using FairMount. End result? No matter what I do it finishes encoding and when I try and play the resulting .m4v I get : "The movie contains and incorrect duration". Any ideas?

Re: 64bit not compatible with iPhone?

Anyone putting a >4GB encode on an iPhone is a total masochist ;P Besides adding another step for people adapting the ATV preset for use in more situations, this is going to raise issues with the forthcoming Universal Apple preset. The ATV preset already uses 2500 and that's with b-frames. Getting ...

Re: 64bit not compatible with iPhone?

Thanks for the response ... good to know... guess I will keep my encodes 32bit unless they end up being jumbo sized (I'm looking at you LOTR triology!)

64bit not compatible with iPhone?

I started encoding my DVD collection in the new AAC+AC3 (thanks Handbrake guys!) and I see a lot people are encoding as 64-bit, however I have noticed in my limited testing that it seems having them encoded as 64bit seems to break iPhone compatibility. Anyone else having similar issues? My goal is t...

Re: AppleTV take 2 is out (hurray!)

Don't hold your breath... I'm not a dev, but I think it is safe to say they won't hack something together just to say they also have the ability. When the HB devs figure out how to do it "properly", they'll add it in. I guess I am confused.... If you are able to get 5.1 using VisualHub ho...

Re: AppleTV take 2 is out (hurray!)

VisualHub can do 5.1 now. It's doable hopefully Handbrake will support shortly...

Re: AppleTV take 2 is out (hurray!)

Not sure if this is known but over at Macrumors a guy who works at Apple posted the following: 1) is AC3 sent over HDMI if we are using HDMI? Yes 2) do we have to use HDMI and the toslink? (i have the onkyo 805 so it can handle the hdmi only). It will output over both. 3) is the AC3 pass through (re...
