Well, one problem here, these DVDs have all been ripped years ago. I have them in VIDEO_TS files on a media server. Would burning DVDs and then re-ripping have any affect? Doesnt seem like it. Isnt' there anything i can run them through off the hard drive to fix these errors?

It seems a lot of the discussion on this problem is regarding how a commercial DVD is ripped, but i experience this problem mostly on self-made DVDs. I have ripped hundreds of commercial DVDs (mostly with DVDDecryptor on the PC) and rarley see the problem, but i do have about 200 various hand made D...

Thanks! That being said, what settings would you recommend for future prooofing these movies the best i can. MP4, AVI, MOV, OGG, MP3, AAC, AC3, etc. For all practical purposes, the video quality of these old movies/tv shows will never be better than the current (e.g. 640x480 H.264) quality can encod...

I seriously doubt the reason was for 'quarterly results'. Im sure we're talking about a small number of units in comparison to Apples sales. Far less than a half percent at best.
