Re: Can someone explain me those x264 vs x265 SSIM results?

I think only a higher SSIM value which accompanies with high PSNR score does not necessarily mean the appropriate graphics for human beings. Much research has approved that, there is a paper from Waterloo university and their examination of the relationship between "good looking graphic" a...

Re: H.265 (Nvidea NVEnc) locks at 30% GPU

I found the problem, MSI Afterburner... I closed it and everything went back to normal. I did not know that it could be a program until I saw the post in the forum. Rookie mistake lol https://ibb.co/hDHw3gn Aha! a siege player. Some overclock software, like MSI Afterburner, Zotac Firestorm, will mo...

Re: Automatic Animorphic Settings Cropping 2px

In the Dimensions tab, there is a "Cropping", choose the "Custom" instead of "Automatic". I used to have similar issue and I bought a [Removed Dubious Product Reference] VideoConverter to resolve the "Auto cropping problem" until I found this option is turned ...

Re: CPU Performance?

Can't figure out an exact percentage of benefit for your plan to replacing i7-3770 to Ryzen 3700. But 1 thing I do confirm is the performance will absolutely a leap forward, obviously. One is that i7 3770 was released 2012 & ryzen 3700 was released 2019, the newest the better. Another is the AMD...

Re: Seeing what file size will be

Sure, and its also about the question "How does this video been encoded". Different codecs "weave" pictures in different ways, some more effective and save spaces, some less effective and waste more space to "store the pictures"(if we imagine that a video is made with m...

Re: Something is going wrong with compressing

the activity log isn't complete and your setting is non-visible, I would recommend in my way: 1. open "video" tag before transcode, select lower resolution preset, like a 1080 (original) to 720 (destined) and drag the "quality" to leftmost the "lower quality", encode th...

Re: How to make subtitle Font smaller?

If you have seperate subtitle files like .srt .ass you can edit it with aegisub, a freeware that allows full customization of subtitle. If the subtitle is embedded, I'd like to disable it and try find a substitutes .srt for it. Anyway if the sub is integrated, aegisub will resolve your font size pro...

Re: Video and audio not synchronized

I've seen similar problem, I guess it was the issue with my DVD source, but the replies says it does happen sometime.

I've tried rip the disc with Makemkv & [Removed Dubious 3rd party products], both worked and video/audio are synchronized, just taking some extra times.

Re: H.265 (Nvidea NVEnc) locks at 30% GPU

Sometimes the CPU could be a bottle neck of performance the NVENC GPU encoder, that's due to the difference working principle of CPU & GPU. Also,Video Decode, Crop, Scale, Fitlers: Decomb, Deinterlace, Denoise, Subtitle rendering etc are all CPU based. As an intergrated graphic card could not be...

Re: Ai upscaling - 1080p to 8k to 1080p

Upscaling wont improve quality. I've heard the AI upscaling do enhance the graphic quality, it using a certain algorithm to blur the pixel and add noise to the graphic, perhaps do dithering too. No doubt that the AI upscaled video does no longer represent its original object which been filmed, it i...

I've experienced it, believe that mostly because the rip protection.
MakeMKV is one greatest option to rip the encrypted discs, also there are some other choices like Any DVD, [Removed Dubious 3rd party products]... etc if you really need to rip contents from a protected disc

Re: Recovering original frame rate from 60fps capture

Just for curiousity. If I have a video source which transferred from PAL analog, like a VHS tape stuff to digital, it keeps original framerate (25f pers) Will Handbrake infer or "add" frames so I could make the video to a 30fps video by adjusting parameters in the "Video" tag (fr...

Re: .M4V filetype causes desktop refresh / flashing every second, .MP4 is fine

As the previous post mentioned, Don't know if there's a windows file association problem, I would recommend to check the windows control panel(Windows setting) --> Apps --> default apps to see if the .mp4 are correctly associated?
