Re: New Video Card Problems
I grabbed a portable version of 1.3.3, the last version to support Windows 7, and I get the same error as before with 1.2.2. I'm curious... why can I run 1.1.2, 1.2.2 and 1.3.3 when using an older card but not 1.2.2 or 1.3.3 when using a newer card?

Re: New Video Card Problems
Looks like a compatibility issue with the new card. 1.2.2 predates the 6600XT and it's driver stack. Unfortunately, running Windows 7 leaves you with no real options here as we no longer support that platform. So run 1.1.2 until it's time to build a new PC, yes? I don't mind not using the GPU for e...

New Video Card Problems
Description of problem or question: I've just replaced my Radeon R7 250 video card with a Radeon RX 6600XT. Once I did, my 1.2.2 version doesn't work. I can use 1.1.2. The difference is that 1.1.2 doesn't let me use my graphics card during conversion, and 1.2.2 does. Steps to reproduce the problem ...

Re: Radeon Hardware Encoding (AMD VCE) does not work
I wish I had read this. I could have saved myself some time. I bought an RX 5600 XT that I'm returning, and I'm also running Windows 7 x64. However, I couldn't even run handbrake after installing the new card. I'm wondering now if the problem is that I needed to update my motherboard bios? I'm curio...

Re: An Unknown Error Has Occured
My old card had a DVI port and this new one doesn't. I had to get an HDMI to DVI cable to connect it to my monitor. I know this is far-fetched, but is there any chance the HDMI is causing a problem?

Re: An Unknown Error Has Occured
I don't believe it a broken driver. I downloaded two different drivers. It's unlikely that they were both corrupt. I downloaded the "SafeMode" build, but all I got was a black box that flashed and disappeared. Any idea. Frankly I think the easiest thing to do is just go back to my old vide...

Re: An Unknown Error Has Occured
I was hoping the drivers were the problem. I had originally downloaded the "Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.1 Optional" driver. I uninstalled it and installed the "Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2 Recommended (WHQL)" driver instead, but the problem persists. I uninstalled the 1.2.2 x86...

Re: An Unknown Error Has Occured
It worked fine, right up until I put in my new video card. I'm thinking this is a major part of the problem... "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." Other software has stopped working as well. Particularly SunsetScreen, to ...

Re: Auto Select a Subtitle as Default
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but under the subtitles tab click "Selected Behavior". Choose "First Matching Selected Language" then choose your language and move it from the left to the right.

Re: Episodes & Naming
So the 4 episodes are a single title file. I'm guessing that it's something like Episode 1 Chapters 1-4, Episode2 Chapters 5-8, etc.? DVDShrink (freeware) will let you load the title file, and then let you manually select which chapters you want to rip. Just make a folder for each episode on your de...

Re: Too many titles!
An easy way to solve this problem is to install Media Player Classic. You can either get it on it's own, or with the K-Lite Codec Pack. Anyway, once it's installed, you can play the episode you want and it will tell you what the title number is in the information box under the video.

Re: File Size After Update
OK... first things first. It isn't Handbrake that gives me an error if the DVD has closed Captions instead of regular subtitles. It's MKVToolNix that says "completed with warnings". I have to run everything I convert with Handbrake through MKVToolNix, because if I don't, Cyberlink Power DV...

Re: File Size After Update
I have no activity log. When converting a file with closed captions instead of subtitles, it creates an error in version 1.2.2 and I would routinely clear the jobs list. This it what I did before I updated to the latest version.

File Size After Update
Description of problem or question: After updating from version 1.2.2 to 1.3.3, I encoded a video file. The one using the new version is much larger. Why is that? They were both done using CRF 21.5. https://www.cloudynights.com/uploads/gallery/album_10546/gallery_292025_10546_2516.jpg Steps to repr...
