HandBrake

I am ripping to my personal file several old DVD movies and concerts. How can I convert to 16:9 ? They sound good after hand break but those black strips on the side are not appealing. Is there a way to make this happen besides stretching on the Tv?

If I am doing the same with other bluray that has TrueHD it would be the same? In the event the audio format is Dolby digital or similar I have to find the same...

New to hand break. What are the best nadbreak settings to keep DTS HD f I am ripping all my blurays to a HT PC using PLEX. I have tried several combinations and my Denon receiver always says Dolby Digital.
