  • 1/3 shot banana liqueur
  • 1/3 shot mango liqueur

Now it makes sense why the logo is a cocktail. And why it says: Put down that cocktail... when encoding is finished.

Thanks for the explanation.

Re: [x265, 4K] Post your results here!

Then start by providing a source that is accessible to anyone who would be participating in the process. A popular one is Big Buck Bunny , from what I've read. Unfortunately, I cannot use a whole movie for testing because of time constraints (it would take days). As I already said, I am interested ...

What encode settings? Presets can change from version to version.
OK, I did not know about this. Presets are as defined in x265 2.9.

Re: [x265, 4K] Post your results here!

Benchmarks are worthless without some common factors. What video source? Encode speed is intimately tied to source complexity. What encode settings? Presets can change from version to version. OK, but I just want some results to compare encoding time (in fps), then anything else is not so relevant,...

[x265, 4K] Post your results here!

I have found that x265 4K encoding is a very time consuming task (especially for low end CPUs). I am more interested in encoding fps for the ultrafast, medium and veryslow x265 presets for 4K videos. I will start by posting my configuration and results: CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G1610 @ 2.60GHz M...

Calculate New Video Bitrate

OK, let's say I have a video. This video has a bitrate of 8192 kb/s, a resolution of 1920x1080, and X264 as codec. I want to re-encode it and change its resolution to 640x360, by using the same codec. The question is: What is the ideal bitrate I must use to re-encode this video? (using 2-pass encodi...
