There seems to be discrepancies in Handbrakes VideoToolbox quality setting. The help text for VideoToolbox and x264/5 are the same referencing RF when you hover over the slider. x264/5 uses RF for the quality slider, but VideoToolbox uses CQ for the quality slider. RF uses lower number for high the ...

VideoToolBox H265 vs X265
Description of problem or question: I have been using an M1 Mac Mini to compress blu-ray mkvs. I have been using a X265 lately. I had an error with one file and came to site and saw mention of VideoToolBox, so I read the faq and decided to try it. VideoToolBox is massively faster. Here are my setti...

Re: Blu-Ray to MakeMKV to HandBrake with Subtitles/CC in iTunes
you can extract subtitles from the mkv file using subler or mkvextract (part of MKVToolNix) depending on the type of subtitle.

Re: HandBreak crashs while scanning titles. No error, just crash
i noticed that several Bond movies are crashing at title 15 of 23.
i thought maybe it was because there are many titles, but I opened with no problem movies with 40 titles.
even using Open Source (Title Specific) and entering title 13 (which is the main movie) crashed Handbrake.
