No need for the MakeMKV log. This particular MKV file has the following subtitle tracks available: Stream #0:2(eng): Subtitle: dvd_subtitle, 720x480 (default) Stream #0:3(eng): Subtitle: subrip On the subtitle tab, "burn in" was checked for the first. If you want it "switchable"...

this is direct from disc. often i use makeMKV firste and then encode from the mkv file. do you want that log file as well? So, you've asked for something that even the "ancient" version you're using can do, but not told us things like, "What type subtitles are your asking about, and what container type are you using?" These and many other questions are why encode logs are REQUIRED. i don't even know...

Those are titles, not chapters. Chapters would be parts of each episode. It all depends on how the DVD was authored. Some have "Play All" implemented as a title, others only have individual episode titles and "Play All" is implemented using DVD menu logic. HandBrake cannot displ...

found the problem. after selecting the subtitle i made a selection in the general presets tab and the subtitle selection reverted back to it's default

i think i'm okay. the default selection of "anamorphic" is doing the trick i think. the default settings in dimensions work on my computer playback. i try to watch it on my tv
