I don't see it as especially daunting, but that's me.
Anyway - over on github it's been rejected and closed.

Export HandbrakeCLI command line from Handbrake
Description of problem or question: The presets Export function produces a .json file. I want a simple export of a command line from the GUI app such that I can easily use it with HandbrakeCLI. The notion here is to use it as a prototype for modification by a program that will be issuing the comman...

Re: .sfl2 file format / structure?
Thx, I'll still do it my way for various reasons (I sometimes queue up a lot of vids and the destination sub folders are controlled by user input for each file so tend to wait for a bunch to accumulate and then run the program and dispatch the files...). The status file now appears (by setting) in t...

Re: .sfl2 file format / structure?

Re: How to "throttle" HandbrakeCLI to use less CPU?
I found that the simplest way is using apppolice. Each time HBCLI runs it applies the limit set in apppolice. So issue is solved.
Thanks anyway.

Re: How to "throttle" HandbrakeCLI to use less CPU?
The first question is, "Why?" Are you having cooling problems on the machine? No. But I have other things to do that are CPU intensive (including using the GUI HB for more pressing conversions). (The HB CLI is managed by a program I wrote to search for AVI files and convert them to .MP4/h...
