Washed out colours

Hi, Not sure when or why this problem started, but I've noticed recently when encoding the colours look washed out, blacks are more greys. Any thoughts? Re: Nightly Builds

Thanks @s55
I always found the github layout confusing.

Could I also just check with you which nightly file I need?
I'm running Windows 10 64bit (intel processor). I want the GUI installer version.

Thanks again

Nightly Builds

Hi, Just a quick couple of questions about nightly builds. When checking for updates, it always says there ain't any, even though there are. Do they always have to be done manually? Lastly, can someone give me a link where I can see the release notes for nightly builds, as I just can't find it anywh...

Re: Audio track order

I'm not too good with CLI, but thanks for looking for me!

Is there any chance an option could be added to handbrake to give control over this sort of thing, e.g. When available, place '2.0/5.1/7.1' track first?

Thanks again

Re: Audio track order

They are MP4 files.
I'm using Emby to play them.
The files has audio streams like this:
1. 5.1 (default)
2. 2.0

I want to change it to:
1. 2.0 (default)
2. 5.1

Thanks

Re: Audio track order

When I select to add all audio tracks, it always places the 5.1 one first, I can't find a way to have 2.0 set at the top.

Thanks

Audio track order

Hi, I have video files with 5.1 and 2.0 channels that I want to just passthrough, but I want to have them in a different order to make the 2.0 channel the default (top of the list). Apart from manually having to adjust this for every file, is there any way to make this happen using the audio behavio...

There's never a schedule for releases.
It may well be fixed, but until released it's still a bug!

Re: DRC and Gain settings

Yes. But when you create multiple output audio tracks from the same input track like here, and encode to MP4, I believe we do mark them as related so that a device like the AppleTV will know to pick the passthrough track (here, track 2) when connected to a compatible sound system. Ok thanks. Can I ...

Re: DRC and Gain settings

Thanks for the info!

One quick question, does the order of the audio tracks make any difference, i.e. does the track at the top of the list make it the default track?

Thanks

Normally then, you would say there's no need to use the DRC and Gain settings?

DRC and Gain settings

Hi, I like to have 2 audio tracks when converting video files. First I pass through the original 5.1 surround sound, and the second mixdown 2.0 stereo. I'm just looking for advice on what DRC and Gain settings are best for the stereo track, as to my ears it seems quieter then the original 5.1 track?...

H264 to H265

Hi,
I have some high quality MP4 h264 files, that I would like to convert to h265 to reduce the size and keep as much quality as possible.
Which present/settings would be best?

Thanks

Divide 60 by 30.

60fps to 25fps

Hi, I have some mp4 files that are 60fps. I wanted to reduce it down to 25fps, but when I play it back, it jumps every now and then, like it's missing a few frames every now and then. So I tried converting down to 30fps, which seemed much better. Could someone explain why there would be such a diffe...

What do you need to change the presets for?
Because from reading many articles, the preset settings can be further improved for DVD specific content.

Use the preset that best suits your needs. https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/1.5.0/technical/official-presets.html I started off with presets, I'm just refining the settings and wanted opinions. For those that are still on physical disks, you will want a tool for extracting the video. Handbrake itself d...
