I have changed the region on the computer before using this drive. Do you have any recommendations for USB external drives that are not too expensive? I'd appreciate any help.

When I try to rip it with makemkv I get the following error:
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:MEDIA REGION CODE IS MISMATCHED TO LOGICAL UNIT REGION' occurred while reading '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_26_1.VOB' at offset '4096'
Failed to open disc

I get that about a hundred times.

Description of problem or question: I'm trying to rip a region 2 DVD (from France). I believe it has new security encoding (the 99 title thing?) and I've had a heck of a time even getting software to register that it's a DVD (I'm in region 1) - I tried VLC and WinXDVDRipper, but both acted like the...
