So I did the batch thing, and to my surprise (but not in a good way), only the first file was encoded. The rest weren't even touched.

I feel that there's something obvious that i'm too ignorant to know to even look for.

I didn't actually try to encode anything yet, since to my (ignorant) understanding, the files would wind up combined. I will encode (and see what happens) overnight today.
