Update: I should add the my objective is to include the subtitles as soft subtitles. I don't want any of the subtitles burned onto the video.

Using MakeMKV I rip a UHD and select a few subtitle tracks. When I choose the preset Apple 2160p60 4K HEVC Surround , none of the subtitle tracks are available for inclusion on the Subtitles tab and then Tracks > Add New Track (or Add All Remaining Tracks ). Why? Because the 2D file is 2D. I am trying to produce a version of the 3D file that is watchable on a standard TV with the use of Red/Cyan glasses.

I've ripped a blu-ray and one of the audio tracks contains a pcm_s16le 5.1 stream. What do I do with this in Handbrake? I don't see a PassThrough codec for this. Is Auto PassThrough my only choice? Should I convert (down convert?) it to 5.1? If so, with AAC (avcodec)?
