When I view the media info on iTunes Purchased movies it lists the AC-3 5.1 as 192kbps. I checked on several titles.

Re: General question about audio bitrates
I thought the pull down was the only way to set the bitrate. I'm converting a lossless MKV so the Audio is starting as DTS-HD MA and I'm trying to make it AC3 5.1 48 and 192 but the lowest bitrate in the pull down is 224. Basically I'm trying to replicate the iTunes Store quality (regardless of how ...

Re: Constant framerate not constant?
If I use VideoSpec on an mp4 from the iTunes store of the same movie it just says one frame rate, not a min and max as well.

Constant framerate not constant?
When I rip a movie with constant framerate and then look at the file info in VideoSpec it still says there's a Max, Min and Average framerate. Average being the rate I set in handbrake of course. So example if I look at the VideoSpec of "Jennifer's Body" I bought from iTunes, it says the f...

Re: Question about converting Blu Ray ISO
I use the libraries from MakeMKV with handbrake. That's why I was able to convert directly from the Blu Ray itself with handbrake. I'm just curious why the ISO wouldn't convert because technically the ISO should be the exact same as the physical disc.

Question about converting Blu Ray ISO
This was my first time trying to convert a Bluray ISO with Handbrake. I ripped a Bluray ISO using terminal and it played correctly in the Mac Blu Ray Player app but Handbrake said no valid source when I tried to load it up. I was able to convert the Blu Ray directly using handbrake though. Is this t...

Re: Ripping Blu Ray collection to the same specs as iTunes store HD movies
The reason was stated in the initial post. OCD. Again most of you are just asking question or repeating things that I said in the initial post.

Re: Ripping Blu Ray collection to the same specs as iTunes store HD movies
You quoted me saying "I'll be ripping the Blu Rays directly into m4v files with Handbrake using the method with VLC and MakeMKV." and then said I stated I was using MakeMKV to rip the BD. I fail to see how you didn't understand what I typed. I put the BD in my drive. I open handbrake and I...

Re: Ripping Blu Ray collection to the same specs as iTunes store HD movies
Ripping with MakeMKV first and then converting with Handbrake is adding a second step in and that's increasing the chance of minor data loss. As I stated in the initial post, I want the bitrate to be as close to the iTunes store as possible. If I didn't care what the bitrate was, why would I even ma...

Re: Ripping Blu Ray collection to the same specs as iTunes store HD movies
I'm not ripping with MakeMKV. As I mentioned above, I'm ripping the blu ray directly to m4v with Handbrake. One step process. I only have MakeMKV installed because Handbrake needs some files from it to rip Blu Rays directly.

Ripping Blu Ray collection to the same specs as iTunes store HD movies
Hey everyone! I often purchase HD movies from the iTunes store as I find the quality adequate enough for my needs. I also purchase Blu Ray movies and now I'd like to rip my blu ray movies to my iMac for use with my Apple TV 4. I'll be ripping the Blu Rays directly into m4v files with Handbrake using...
